This is a tastefully and beautifully restored old farmhouse.The history, which we learned during the free tour, is very interesting .A copious and tasty breakfast. From the restaurant we highly recommend the taster starters , several small dishes of local cheeses , veg and breadcrumbed cheeseballs .Also the steak main dish .All of the staff could not have been more kind and helpful. we much appreciated the pool and the small kitchen in our spacious room.We liked the swimming at Savelletri- a small cove and safe when the weather is windy.Free parking too.

It was a shame that the bikes which were advertised were not available .

We stayed five nights here and it has an amazing location in amongst ancient olive groves. The place has real character, including a ‘cave’ basement used historically for olive pressing (olive oil tour included!). The apartment was great for a family of four, amazing views from the first floor over the olives. Fantastic pool and very good food for both dinner and breakfast. Great staging point for visiting the area.

Not much. Kitchen in the apartment was sort-of fully equipped to cook for kids some nights, but lacked some basics like a chopping board and some good sharp knives. A few inexpensive extras in the kitchen would go a long way. Removing a few ‘cool’ light bulbs with warmer ones would be worth doing.

Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The breakfast provided was excellent, a huge range of fruits, pastries, meat and cheeses. Wonderfull tour of the Olive Oil plantation and history included. The whole ambience was perfect except for the noise at night from other rooms, see below

Better sound insulation between the rooms, frequently we were kept awake at night by other hotel guests, moving around in their rooms, moving chairs, TV etc. Such a shame as it was a wonderfully tranquil place otherwise.

we had a great stay at Masseria Valente. The location of the Masseria close to Ostuni and close to the seat is perfect. The setting in the ancient olive trees, the old farmhouse in combination with a beautiful garden and swimming pool was wonderful. We enjoyed a really nice dinner and had great breakfasts with lots of local products. We got some good restaurant and beach recommendations and could borrow beachtowels and an umbrella. On the last day we enjoyed a short tour to the old olive oil mill in the cellar and an oil tasting, a great souvenir to take back home

The location is beautiful - an 18th century farmhouse, built over an ancient underground olive mill, within 25 hectares of olive trees. Some of these trees are 1000 years old and have national.monument status. The area around the farmhouse is peaceful and attractively landscaped with many quiet and shady nooks for reading. The infinity swimming pool, shaped like two vast interlocking cicles, is simply glorious. The accommodation outside of the house itself is simple and clean and the beds are very comfortable with firm mattresses. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had a (free) tour of the underground olive mill and a tasting of the various oils produced by the farm given by one of the staff who was very knowledgeable and informative. We had dinner at the Masseria each night and the food was excellent with a good choice of delicious local wines. The breakfasts were buffet style with an extensive selection of breads, cheeses, cured meats, fruit, cakes, juices and cooked eggs on request. We stayed only for 2 days but felt like we'd had 2 restorative weeks. A truly lovely place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the Masseria. The grounds are stunning and well-maintained, providing a beautiful and serene environment. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options. The ladies serving breakfast were very friendly and attentive. The location is conveniently close to Ostuni. The pool was simply amazing, with flexible hours, and there are many lovely spots around the property to relax and enjoy a walk.

While the Masseria has many positive aspects, there are some significant drawbacks that need to be considered. The sound insulation is very poor; we could hear everything in the mornings, especially the early risings of young children. A major downside is the limited toiletries provided in the room: only two small bottles of 2-in-1 shampoo and shower gel. There were no body lotions or conditioners. One evening when we returned from the beach, we found half a bottle left and only one new bottle provided. This is particularly inconvenient if you have long hair. Another issue was the dinner service, which was a disaster. During our five days in Puglia, it was by far the worst dining experience. If possible, we recommend going to Ostuni for dinner instead.

I loved staying at this property! Welcoming staff, delicious food, the olive oil tour was a highlight. Great home base if you have a car to explore Ostuni, Alberobello, Cisternino, Locorotondo, Lecce etc. 10/10 recommend

Booking.com has the wrong address listed. Find the correct address from Masseria Valente’s website. I own an Airbnb and have dealt with booking.com before as a host. We let them go because of mistakes like this. They lack attention to detail.

The staff are extremely helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble. A great and peaceful place to stay amongst the thousands of olive trees that they look after. Due to an early flight we had to leave before breakfast officially started, however the staff were very accommodating and provided an extensive cold buffet whilst they were setting up. Highly recommend this Masseria as a lovely place to stay near Ostuni

Beautiful Masseria a short drive from Ostuni. The staff were super friendly, the breakfast spread was great and the pool was fantastic. Having the option of dining at the restaurant was great- limited menu but delicious.

Not a criticism but would like to have refillable toiletries and more recycling bins for guests to use for all the bottles and cans that are thrown away daily.

We loved everything!!! If you are looking for someplace to relax ..this is the place for you amongst the olive groves. Santa and Pietro were so informative about the property and any questions we had about the area. Santa took us on an amazing tour of the olives groves and explained how olive oil was made years ago and present time. The pool was lovely and the food incredible. We highly recommend Masseria Valente to anyone who just wants to unwind and relax.
