What an amazing place to stay. So peaceful. Wonderful views over the countryside with Mt Etna in the background. Could easily be a 4-5* not sure why it's advertised as 3* as it's eco friendly with a level of attention and detail could certainly be placed in a higher category. Booked the deluxe bungalow with pool for 3 nights. The bungalow was private, modern, spacious, clean and very comfortable and the pool was an absolute delight to cool off in during hot sunny days. Worth paying the extra. A huge thank you to all the staff from the receptionists, cleaners and to the restaurant staff, who were all very friendly and professional, nothing was too much trouble..They all made our stay so relaxing. What a fantastic team they have there. We ate on all 3 nights at the restaurant and the food was just amazing. Having ate at numerous Michelin starred restaurants over the years, I can safely say that this chef certainly knows their craft, with some very clever ideas. Quite bit of thought has definitely gone into the dishes that has been produced by the chef and is comparable to some Michelin menus. All works wonderfully well with some great fusions. The restaurant staff and manager are also highly trained, professional, very efficient and went into detailed explanation on every dish. All in all, the owners should be highly commended for the level of service, food and accommodation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would certainly come back again.

It's not a dislike or a criticism at all, but just a helpful hint. A little tour of the room (bungalow) would have been more of a personal touch. Location of safe, working of AC and TV would have been welcomed. Of course we managed, but it just gives that extra little touch. Apart from that, absolutely nothing to dislike whatsoever.

Our stay at Rocca dei Saracen in late July was truly wonderful. The hotel is beautiful (stunning view on Etna), clean and very peaceful. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit remote, so renting a car is advisable if you want to explore the island. The food at Rocca is excellent, especially the breakfast. Everything was fresh and well-prepared, and you could definitely taste the quality. We loved their coffee and pastries! We only had dinner at the hotel twice because we were out and about the rest of the time. The dessert 'Tipsy cake' is a must-try. One suggestion: it would be convenient to have a phone in the room for easy communication. Special thanks to Valeria for her assistance and quick resolution of issues like the safe in our room.

Amazing location if you are looking for a peaceful place to relax, pool was a good size with stunning views, the proptedy was clean and modern with a pool bar and not too crowded, you can just relax all day

Nothing major, I would have liked some more vegetarian options for dinner espc if you are staying multiple days, bar snacks available (wasn't available when we stayed there however staff made us fruits and was helpful, some activities such as yoga class or wine tasting etc - like I said those are just suggestions and I would come back I'm a hard beat- if I could I would give 9.5 rating, just for 10 I would need to find the place to exceed all you could wish for- highly recommend this for both adults and families

I’m cautious about raving about this property as I don’t want it to become too popular! We absolutely loved our stay and even extended whilst we were there. The facilities are incredible well looked after, everything is so clean! By far the real highlight is the staff, the professionalism and care shown by all staff. It’s the type of place you’d happily stay for a week - close enough to Taormina and Catania for some day trips but you’re able to escape the tourists and crowds at night! Also the hotel restaurant was spectacular - some of the best food I’ve ever eaten.

Wow, what a gem! Stunning view, great design, excellent staff in the bar and restaurant makes you feel very well treated. The food was AMAZING, breakfast incredible, dinner was absolutely incredible. Totally recommend.

Only two small things: both of the receptionist were not really welcoming and nice, one of them was on the phone all the time, during check out as well. It’s a pity as they are responsible to make the first impression. All other staff was great. We didn’t consider the altitude and it was a bit colder than we expected during our trip in October, but it’s our fault. Something to think about next time.

The view was amazing, the staff very kind, welcoming and professional. The breakfast was comprehensive, tasty, and included. Everything was very neat and clean which added to the aesthetic and tranquility of the place.

We wanted to go on a bike ride unfortunately the tires of the bikes were flat. We also asked for a fan as it was quite warm in the room for us but we should have mentioned it when booking as they didn't have one on hand. For us these were very minor things and definitely did not impact our stay!

The food at the restaurant was excellent and so was the service. The breakfast is very well organized and the outside setup overlooking the valley and surrounding hills is exceptional. The surrounding garden and countryside is beautiful, peaceful and quiet - all you hear is the chirping and bursts of melodious songs of the birds.

At the time when I visited (mid-June) the pool was very cold. It would have been nice if the hotel had spa facilities, which I know are in the process of being finalised, but which were not yet available when I was there.

Amazing service, especially from Luciano. He makes the best Mojito my partner and I have ever had! An absolute must try. His level of service was overwhelmingly exceptional. Nothing was too much to ask. Loved the beautiful interior of the entire hotel and grounds and felt the pictures on-line didn't do it justice. The food was absolutely incredible and the chef to be thanked. Additionally, both reception ladies were so very helpful with any request. The cleaners etc kept the place sparkly clean. This hotel really goes above and beyond for its guests. One day, our car got too dirty and the staff helped us arrange it to be cleaned. We will most definitely be back.

The pool was too cold, even in hot weather it would be better to be heated slightly. A jacuzzi would be a lovely addition. There is no room service available sadly, and the rooms are a little bit dark. There is no path from the main building to the pool or lunch deck, so you have to walk on grass, slightly difficult for guests who are disabled or walk with aid. Some evening entertainment would be lovely too. For the location, you Ideally need a car.

Rocca dei Saraceni is a beautiful property. We stayed in one of the bungalows with private pool, and the room felt brand new - excellent design, specification and decor, both inside and out. The grounds, scenery and views are absolutely stuunning. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, with a good range of options, most using fresh local ingredients.

Very little not to like. The pool temperatures were... "refreshing" to say the least! Maybe a few more hot options at breakfast would have been good for me personally (although overall there was a great selection).

We had a fantastic stay here, two standard double rooms for 6 nights. The rooms and bathrooms are super clean and spacious, the pool area was lovely and the views of the countryside are spectacular. The food is exceptional, lots of options for breakfast, we enjoyed the delicious fresh fruit, pancakes and pastries, the coffee was really great too. Lunch by the pool and dinner in the restaurant had some amazing pasta dishes. The staff were so welcoming every day of our stay, they really went above and beyond for us, the most attentive and kind staff we’ve ever met. Do not hesitate to book Rocca dei Saranceni, we can’t recommend it enough.
