This was our second time at Rocca dei Saraceni and we love it. The property has a beautiful estate on the hilltop overlooking Mount Etna and it has the most gorgeous view. The breakfast is delicious, the food is local and there’s something for everyone. The rooms are spotless and the cleanliness is at a super high level. The staff is extraordinary, very friendly and we have to say a special thank you to Giusi, Ana and Karina: they made our stay even lovelier. ❤️

It’s not really a big deal, but the shower head is on the opposite side of the shower, and not where the glass is so showering can get a bit messy as the water splashes around.

What an amazing place to stay. So peaceful. Wonderful views over the countryside with Mt Etna in the background. Could easily be a 4-5* not sure why it's advertised as 3* as it's eco friendly with a level of attention and detail could certainly be placed in a higher category. Booked the deluxe bungalow with pool for 3 nights. The bungalow was private, modern, spacious, clean and very comfortable and the pool was an absolute delight to cool off in during hot sunny days. Worth paying the extra. A huge thank you to all the staff from the receptionists, cleaners and to the restaurant staff, who were all very friendly and professional, nothing was too much trouble..They all made our stay so relaxing. What a fantastic team they have there. We ate on all 3 nights at the restaurant and the food was just amazing. Having ate at numerous Michelin starred restaurants over the years, I can safely say that this chef certainly knows their craft, with some very clever ideas. Quite bit of thought has definitely gone into the dishes that has been produced by the chef and is comparable to some Michelin menus. All works wonderfully well with some great fusions. The restaurant staff and manager are also highly trained, professional, very efficient and went into detailed explanation on every dish. All in all, the owners should be highly commended for the level of service, food and accommodation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would certainly come back again.

It's not a dislike or a criticism at all, but just a helpful hint. A little tour of the room (bungalow) would have been more of a personal touch. Location of safe, working of AC and TV would have been welcomed. Of course we managed, but it just gives that extra little touch. Apart from that, absolutely nothing to dislike whatsoever.

Our stay at Rocca dei Saracen in late July was truly wonderful. The hotel is beautiful (stunning view on Etna), clean and very peaceful. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit remote, so renting a car is advisable if you want to explore the island. The food at Rocca is excellent, especially the breakfast. Everything was fresh and well-prepared, and you could definitely taste the quality. We loved their coffee and pastries! We only had dinner at the hotel twice because we were out and about the rest of the time. The dessert 'Tipsy cake' is a must-try. One suggestion: it would be convenient to have a phone in the room for easy communication. Special thanks to Valeria for her assistance and quick resolution of issues like the safe in our room.

The views from the hotel are breathtaking! There is this beautiful valley and at the end of it you can see Mount Etna. Breakfast is excellent, with many products produced on the property, like bread, butter, olive oil. Everything is top quality and fresh. Dinner is an experience you cannot miss! Beautifully presented, sophisticated and delicious. And the staff was incredible; they made the hole experience be very special for us.

Amazing location if you are looking for a peaceful place to relax, pool was a good size with stunning views, the proptedy was clean and modern with a pool bar and not too crowded, you can just relax all day

Nothing major, I would have liked some more vegetarian options for dinner espc if you are staying multiple days, bar snacks available (wasn't available when we stayed there however staff made us fruits and was helpful, some activities such as yoga class or wine tasting etc - like I said those are just suggestions and I would come back I'm a hard beat- if I could I would give 9.5 rating, just for 10 I would need to find the place to exceed all you could wish for- highly recommend this for both adults and families

Before getting to property we had seen scores of 10 for WiFi. This was certainly not the case during our stay, apparently there were some issues, we had to rely on our mobile data. Bottled Water should be replenished every day in the room, if this is not policy needs to be made so.

I’m cautious about raving about this property as I don’t want it to become too popular! We absolutely loved our stay and even extended whilst we were there. The facilities are incredible well looked after, everything is so clean! By far the real highlight is the staff, the professionalism and care shown by all staff. It’s the type of place you’d happily stay for a week - close enough to Taormina and Catania for some day trips but you’re able to escape the tourists and crowds at night! Also the hotel restaurant was spectacular - some of the best food I’ve ever eaten.

The view was amazing, the staff very kind, welcoming and professional. The breakfast was comprehensive, tasty, and included. Everything was very neat and clean which added to the aesthetic and tranquility of the place.

We wanted to go on a bike ride unfortunately the tires of the bikes were flat. We also asked for a fan as it was quite warm in the room for us but we should have mentioned it when booking as they didn't have one on hand. For us these were very minor things and definitely did not impact our stay!

Wow, what a gem! Stunning view, great design, excellent staff in the bar and restaurant makes you feel very well treated. The food was AMAZING, breakfast incredible, dinner was absolutely incredible. Totally recommend.

Only two small things: both of the receptionist were not really welcoming and nice, one of them was on the phone all the time, during check out as well. It’s a pity as they are responsible to make the first impression. All other staff was great. We didn’t consider the altitude and it was a bit colder than we expected during our trip in October, but it’s our fault. Something to think about next time.

The restaurant had an independent booking during our stay so could only offer a set menu which mainly consisted of Octopus which neither of us like. As guests we feel we should have had more options . However the nearby pizza restaurant was a great find.
