It's a beautiful location and they have nice gardens around the hotel. Breakfast was lovely and they have fresh, delicious croissants that are warm from the oven. The manager of the breakfast room seems to be quite stressed but the young lady making the cappuccinos did a good job of ensuring that she circulated in the room. The front desk staff are very kind and considerate. The pool and bar are clean and relaxing.

The rooms are quite bland and the minibar fridge didn't work. There could be room for improvement here.

Good location off a roundabout to Cecina or Riparbella, meaning you can get to each place easily if you have transport. The hotel has more traditional rooms in the main house and modern rooms in other blocks around the complex. We stayed in the traditional room, which was basic, but a reasonable size with original paintings on the walls. It had a comfortable double bed, desk, wardrobe and and fridge and small ensuite bathroom (shower only). The facilities of the hotel were excellent - restaurant / bar and a sizeable swimming pool (much needed during the Tuscan summer heat). The staff were amazing - when we checked in late in the evening, we were upgraded to a suite, but unfortunately there was a flood in the room due to the air conditioning. We were immediately put into a new room and also provided complimentary facial massages in the spa the next day. Caterina at the front desk also helped to sort out restaurant reservations in Cecina and a taxi (including contacting the driver when I had left an item of luggage in the car).

The air conditioning was not particularly efficient at cooling the room. There are limited transportation options - taxi hailing apps do not work and there are few local cabs to / from the railway station in Cecina. Car hire would be the best option. There are limited food options once the hotel restaurant closes - nearby restaurants tend to be closed too; so if arriving after 10.00 pm, make sure to eat on the way!

A beautiful hotel – stunning ceiling paintings and spacious rooms. Super friendly service! The restaurant is excellent – the best tartare we’ve ever had anywhere – definitely try it! Great cocktails and wines, too. Very well located – close to a charming little town with bars and a beach. Large shops are nearby. We highly recommend this place! The only possible downside might be the low pool depth (1.4m), but that’s not really a minus. The pool itself is large, with plenty of sun loungers around.

Beautiful old villa, very old but functioning furnishing. Everything was really clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Big swimming pool with enough sun loungers. Restaurant was also very good. It's also close to beach and historical places to explore. We absolutely loved our stay there.

The hairdryer is very obsolete, especially if you have long thick hair. And hot food at breakfast was just lukewarm.

The breakfast was fresh, and had a good range of food. The pool was great, as was the restaurant. Great cocktails.

The access to the rooms is over gravel, so it is a little hard to roll your suitcase over in order to get to and from your room.

What a beautiful place to stay! Stunning building, amazing staff, great breakfast, delicious food in the restaurant and the spa is sublime. The bed was so comfortable, efficient air conditioning and lovely pool with plenty of sunbeds. Fantastic!
