Absolutely best location to access the Amalfi coast. Ferries are steps away. Best dining options are Pescheria (seafood obviously) and Porca Vacca for beef! What a steak! And wines! And service! Felt like a great Tuscan steakhouse. Get ferry tickets online ahead of time for the specific ferry you want. Line up early! Listen for the guy to yell "online tickets." Almost no one has them. DO NOT stay in Amalfi or Positano! Trust me. Just visit, swim, shop, have lunch and an aperitif but head back to Salerno for dinner and bed. Also, just a few steps from the train station (no taxi needed), nearby shopping and a laundromat.

Could have been quieter on the weekend (just above the bar) but it eventually got quiet (by 11 pm).

The location, right in city center, on the beach, was great. We walked all over town, and took a boat ride to Amalfi just a few steps from our front door. The breakfast at the cafe on the ground floor was tasty and convenient. The facility was secure, and clean, with beautiful marble floors, nice decor and comfortable furnishings. We were happy to have a mini fridge to store some of our traveling food supply.

The building was under renovation, and we could not see out the window due to scaffolding. The city noise at night (voices, music, traffic) lasted well past midnight, making 10 or 11 PM bedtime something we couldn't do. The shower was extremely small, difficult to keep the door shut and prevent leakage. The room itself was very small, with no good place to put our suitcases. We just had to leave them on the floor in a corner and try not to trip on them. Parking was difficult to figure out, and cost more than we expected.

Location in relation to the ferries for the Amalfi coast is excellent. The room was cute but small. The main draw of this place is location- it is walking distance to the train and the shopping of Salerno and the ferry.

The street is loud but metal shutters help with sound and light. Service staff were not welcoming or friendly. Breakfast is ok - pastry is excellent - coffee good but cuppucino was often not hot. We ordered food from next door (restaurant of same name as hotel) and it was not fresh and the people behind the counter were rude and abrupt bc I did not speak Italian, I did not understand the way things worked with picking up your tray and then sitting down after you ordered- it was conflicting messages and no clear signage that could clarify. The La Madegra supposedly had an appertivo time but guests of the hotel were not informed or invited that I could see.

The location was amazing - walk from the train station and to catch the ferry. Easy access to the main pedestrian street with lots of restaurants. Cafe was really nice - breakfast was a coffee (very good) and pastry (amazing nuttella croissant) and when asked were also able to get a piece of fruit. Also great for apertiv hour.

It was a bit noisy at night as it is above a very busy cafe - music at night was a bit loud. Better once we shut the shutters though. It could have been a little cleaner - I was doing yoga in the morning and noticed alot of dust under the bed and also on shelves.

Great location. Super close to train station and close to the ferry dock (there are 2 though) and there cafe at the bottom.

We asked and they said they had no iron! We had cute outfits to wear to the Positano and we could not iron them. Also one of the showers in our room was leaking a lot of water and it was leaking into our room. We had to put towels down on the floor each time we took a shower. We could hear people talking outside of our room even with the heavy blinds closed but it wasn’t super loud.

We booked out all the rooms for a family trip and found them to be modern and clean, the beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The location was perfect for our trip, the train station is a block away and the ferry to the Amalfi Coast is across the street. we spent a day at the beach club a little up the road and there are many restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Car rentals are also a block away for a day trip to Paestum. The staff at the Madegra Cafe downstairs was very friendly and helpful, we spent our mornings and evenings there and felt very welcome, the food was good as well.

Great location! It's within walking distance from the train station and close to town. The room offered a fantastic view and was very clean. Breakfast was served in their coffee shop, which was lovely, with a choice of croissants, coffee, water, and orange juice. The restaurant owned by La Madegra offers a wide variety of options, and we enjoyed having dinner there.

The air conditioning was malfunctioning, acting more like a fan. This made the room uncomfortably hot, which affected the quality of sleep. The room for three people is very tight, and the 3rd bed mounted to the wall is unstable. We had to put our big luggage under it to support it so my son wouldn't slide down.

The room was bright and clean. We really liked the blue floor tiles. The location was good - very close to the ferries and the old part of the city. There was a very good cafe next door, and a locked parking lot available next door to the building.

Even though it's located on a main street, it was not clearly marked (at least while driving past), and a little difficult to find. I must have missed the instructions that said that you checked in at the cafe next door. Was not sure where to park while looking for the suites and checking in. Elevator from ground floor to first floor was not working. There were a lot of electrical outlets, but most were in odd locations and not immediately obvious - at least to me.

The view. Being right in the beachfront, the place had the perfect view overlooking the ocean Perfect location for a trip in Salerno being close to central station, the harbour and downtown area and let's not forget that view Unit was comfortable and had plenty of room. It also had a great view Staff were helpful though as place is run primarily as a restaurant and bar, you do need to get the attention of already busy people And did I mention it has an amazing view

Breakfast was basic, though the coffee was good Shower was very small and leaked slightly Because of the aforementioned restaurant and bar, it can be a little noisy in the evenings

First up, everyone was very nice & helpful. The check-in is at the downstairs Madegra cafe (which is great for breakfast) and someone came with me to show me the room & access. They also have a restaurant downstairs which is solid value for money food rather than taste. I had breakfast couple of days at Madegra cafe and highly recommend trying their croissants especially their pistachio & jam. The location is fantastic, few minutes from the train station and opposite the ferry to Amalfi coast.

I had booked a family room but what I ended up getting was a deluxe room instead. The partition was closed, and the second half was given out to someone else which is not what I expected.
