LOVED the location! It was SO CLOSE to the train station AND the ferry to take you to Amalfi/Positano/Capri. And - OK - if you're a girl reading this and you've seen the movie 'Taken' - it was a little strange at first because it was two gentlemen that came to meet us to let us into the building. And it's an apartment building where the front door has a lock and then you go up to your floor, go through a 'main' door, and down the hallway is your room. Now - everything was totally fine and the gentlemen were quite lovely and helpful. But just know that when you get there and don't freak out like we almost did! The place itself was perfect. The bathroom was clean, the bed was comfy, but the real winner was the balcony! The view was beautiful! We received 'passes' for our breakfast at a nearby Cafe and it was fine, a coffee (cappuccino) and a pastry with a pleasant view. It was a really nice stay.

The shower had a rainfall shower head, so if you weren't planning on getting your hair wet, be sure to wear a shower cap, because the shower head is large and the shower space is small, so not a lot of room to avoid. Overall the bathroom is a bit cramped, but it is really nice.

The apartment was right next to the train station and 1/2 block from the port and ferry access point to Sorrento, Amalfie Coast, and Positiano. Not to mention a 2 mins walk to the main plaza. The communication with the property owner was very good, Google translate was good enough to convey our needs and any questions we had. I would give this property for the location, communication, and proximity to restaurants, Port, and train station a 9.5/10. My only complaint and it's not a deal breaker , was I thought we were getting a queen sized bed but it's closer to a full size bed. Regardless, my girlfriend and I would definitely come back to this property again. Ciao Salerno!!

Very nice room with a great balcony overlooking the street. I sat outside and read/watched the city for a long time. Very central--easy walk to/from the ferry, train station, and Old Town.

There was a miscommunication when I checked in. I asked the guy at check in when I should check out, and he told me I could check out in early afternoon since my train was later in the day. The next morning the woman on duty had no knowledge of this and asked me to leave around 11:05. I asked if I could leave my luggage for a few hours and she wasn't very happy about it, but allowed it. There was a significant language barrier, which may have been part of the problem. If you are planning to stay later, I suggest confirming this in writing before arrival.

Getting a taxi in Salerno, especially with the language barrier (I only speak English, not Italian), can be difficult. I asked the BnB host if he could order me a taxi, and he offered to drive me himself! He also gave me recommendations for dinner the following night and informed me of where the safe parts of Salerno are at night as a solo female traveler. The service was spectacular. They were incredibly kind, and I highly recommend staying here. The breakfast they offer at the local cafe is also very good.

Very near to train station and close to an amazing restaurant 0zero recommended. Nice view and very comfortable. Nice location for buses, trains and auto rental

We stayed here for one night to pick up a car and head to Matera and Puglia the following day. We came on a ferry from Minori. The location is perfect. Less than 8 minutes from ferry and if needed, the train station is 3 minutes away. The room was so comfortable, nicely decorated, spacious bathroom and a nice balcony. We were given a voucher for breakfast at a cafe that is right across street and around the corner. The host was so kind and patient with us. He waited with us while our rental car was being dropped off and then he led us directly to parking garage right across the street and the car was safely locked up for the night. Only a 15 euro fee for this convenient spot. We communicated with Google Translate and again, he was so kind and patient. If we needed anything he picked up a WhatsApp call immediately. It was short but a great stay. Just a bit of street noise at night but that’s a trade off for the location.

It was near to the terminal, the port and also really near to the taxis to get to Manfredi in case you need to take a ferry from there. The room was cozy and with a view to the ocean. The AC worked perfectly, really important for these summer temperatures.

Everything was nice, nothing to complain. Only thing I would say is it could be nice to have more salty options on the breakfast or healthy since the breakfast was pretty heavy with only cornettos filled with pistachios or other fillings. Just a small recommendation.

Unbeatable location just a few minutes walk from the train station and the main shopping street. Breakfast is provided in a nice cafe also a few minutes walk away. Nice comfortable room with a partial sea view from the balcony. Lovely host.

Bed is too soft for my liking and the noise from neighbouring rooms/corridor. Definitely requires better noise insulation, I could hear neighbours chatting and someone walking in high heels in the middle of the night. There's also a grinding noise every time you open the taps/flush toilet.

We booked for one night on our way back from Amalfi before catching the train to Sicily the next day. We arrived early 10.30am and had arranged to leave our luggage for the day (for a daytrip to Paestum highly recommended) however the room was ready and Else allowed us to checkin super early to the room. The hotel is 5 minutes from ferry, bus and train. So central and easy. The breakfast is a croissant and coffee at a nearby cafe. There is lift access (not the front lift go down the hall to the back lift) and even ramps for the few steps. The bathroom is newly renovated. The host is very friendly and communication prompt and organised to manage the lack of English.

It would have been nice to spend another day in Salerno

Perfect location and really clean. Friendly hosts went above and beyond for us. Loved the coffee and treat for breakfast each morning in Cafe Bruno. Ideal location to use train or ferry port for amalfi Coast and visiting Pompei.

Coffee machine in room would have been a nice touch. Apart from that. It had everything we needed.
