The location is perfect. Very close to Train Station/Bus Station/Port (ferry) which connects Salerno to the Napoli and other places on the Amalfi Coast. There are few groceries store in the area, one very close to the accommodation. The historical center is also near by. So .... location is perfect, one could not ask for more as a tourist. Breakfast is typical Italian, fruits, coffee, croissant, pie, gem and so on, enough for starting the day. The room was ... simple, but functional .... it had everything you need for an tourist who wants to spend most of the time exploring the surroundings. A big plus for the stuff very helpful, very concerned about the guest.

Our host was great. Upon arrival in Salerno, he allowed us to leave a piece of luggage in the property for 10 days before our actual stay, gratis, while we backpacked the Amalfi Coast to Positano. Our room was very reasonably priced and comfortable for a short stay. The location is right in the heart of everything. Close to the train station, the ferry dock, the waterfront park, the old part of town, the modern part of town, restaurants and groceries. It made travel and exploring on foot very easy. The common kitchen and breakfast area was available all day. Each apartment had a bin in the refrigerator for your food. Very well though out. We were buzzed in to the property and our apartment and didn't meet the host until check out the next day. Salerno was one of our favorite towns with a good mix of old and new and not too busy with throngs of tourists, yet with plenty of things to do and see.

Review of B&B Salernoway, Salerno B&B Salernoway is a clean, budget-conscious, and centrally located option in Salerno that works well for travelers looking for convenience and affordability. The property is just minutes from the train station, with flat walking over pavers and cobblestones, making it an excellent base for exploring the city. A simple continental breakfast is included, and there’s access to a shared kitchen, adding extra convenience for those who like to prepare their own meals. Each room comes with a private bathroom, ensuring privacy and comfort. While the property has many positives, noise is a significant downside. It’s located on a busy street, and the single-paned windows let in outside noise. Be sure to close the double door to help minimize the disturbance. Unfortunately, internal noise can also be an issue—during our stay, a hen party next door made for a loud experience. Overall, B&B Salernoway is a clean, budget-friendly option with useful amenities like breakfast and a kitchen. It’s ideal for travelers who prioritize location and value, but light sleepers or those seeking a quieter stay may want to consider other options.

The hen party next door was extremely noisy. The room has two sets of external doors. Make sure you close the outer double pane doors. Bring your own shampoo.

The hotel owner made my checkin much easier. I went to hotel around 8 pm because of train delay, the owner arranged a person and waited for me, and explained everything to me; unfortunately, many other hotels in Italy rather like the travelers to do self checkin in evening time. Great location, it is close to the train station and the main port for ferries to the Amalfi Coast.

Location - 5 minutes from station, less than 10 from old town. Right off main strip of shops and restaurants. Shared kitchen. Staff - so lovely! Even though I faced a street (with a cute balcony I could relax on) the double window/doors were excellent at blocking street noise.

A microwave in shared kitchen would have been terrific. There is just a grill. Bread and toaster at breakfast would be great. The breakfast menu was all very sweet. No savory options.

Location, room, check in, and breakfast were great. Was a quick walk from the train station and easy to find dinner nearby.

My only issue was a shop below my balcony was hosing down their equipment at 6am so I suggest sleeping in earrplugs. I only stayed one night so not sure how often that happens. No complaints about the b&b itself.

The host was very accommodating and communicated promptly. The onsite staff were quite friendly and helpful.

Street noise is excessive; all night you will hear motorcycles, cars, trains and people. Additionally, the walls are quite thin and conversations and TV from adjoining rooms can be heard.

What we liked the most was the location of the B&B, close to amenities such as the high street, the train station and the pier.

The shower was a bit slow to heat up.

Amazing value for money. Super helpful staff (Google translate helped a lot with the lovely breakfast lady) . Really wished we had booked longer than one night. The owner is such an interesting and funny guy, we could have spent all day chatting. Nothing was too much trouble for him. If we visit again, we will def stay here. With love from Non French Jacqueline and Bob Ghandi 😁

Nothing to dislike
