I cannot fully express how lovely this hotel was .It is a family run hotel in the center of Sulmona .The location was just perfect to walk leisurely to the shops ,cafe’s, churches and restaurants .Sulmona is one of the most peaceful areas that I have ever visited .The owners of the hotel , Mamma Rosanna ,Gianluca and Angela were absolutely lovely host who made our visit very memorable and special with their wonderful hospitality.The hotel was exceptionally clean ,as was my bedroom .My bedroom was spacious ,decorated nicely and extremely comfortable. I would more than highly recommend the Hotel Rojan to all who come to visit Sulmona .You will not be disappointed and I guarantee that you too will have a wonderful experience ,like I did.

There isn’t one thing that I was disappointed with .It was truly one of the nicest and most memorable vacations /holidays of my life .Thank you Mamma Rosanna,Gianluca and Angela for a beautiful stay in your lovely hotel .

The best part of Hotel Rojan is the family that owns the hotel. They were absolutely fabulous! Very helpful with ideas about where to hike and what to see! Super kind! Great breakfast and great location! The hotel is right in the heart of town with good restaurants within walking distance. But book in advance as they fill up fast! There is good hiking in the area but you need a car to get to most places outside of Sulmona.

The only thing missing for us was outdoor space to sit and have a glass of wine or read. (But this is our desire not everyone wants outdoor space) Other than that the hotel is really a special place!

Hotel Rojen is a wonderful, warm, and cozy hotel with amazing hosts. We stayed three nights and found our room and bathroom to be extremely comfortable and clean. The breakfast was varied and delicious. We are so happy we selected this family owned hotel with a modern lift in a perfect location. Supposedly, there is a taxi in town. We took a bus from the train station to the hotel. However, if you need to get to the station, I would suggest reserving the hotel shuttle. Thanks so much for a lovely stay.

The property was lovely.Nicely decorated and very clean .The owners were very hospitable and made our trip an experience of a lifetime with their lovely service .The hotel was centrally located making days out a wonderful experience sightseeing,,walking through town going to cafes , shopping , seeing the churches and experiencing the beautiful foods and wines of Sulmona .Sulmona was a dream holiday for me .Something I will never forget .I can’t wait to go back .

There is nothing I didn’t like

The hotel is beautiful, room very accommodating (has an elevator) and the bed was comfortable. It’s in a historical district with shops and restaurants all around. Breakfast is included and was just enough to start the day. The owner Gianluca and staff were very kind, spoke English which was helpful being from the US and by myself. The owner even provided a shuttle service to the train station for a small fee. They were so helpful! My father is from Pacentro a small town 15 minutes from Sulmona so this is a great hotel to stay at again.

Nothing, everything was great

Perfectly located in old town. A visually stunning inside with very friendly and helpful staff. GianLucca knew we would want to eat dinner early and directed us to one of the only places that serves before 7PM. Breakfast was brought to our room and it was a spectacular selection. This is a wonderful welcoming location in Sulmona with a first rate hotel.

I honestly can’t think of anything. The price is a bit high, but you definitely get what you pay for in this case.

What more could they do? Great communication from the start, smooth check-in, wonderful room, delightful breakfast, and most importantly, such a personal attention to every detail made our stay just lovely. Would really enjoy a return trip there. Be sure to ask for recommendations on where to eat and what to see. They are quite knowledgeable and helpful.

Everything! The hotel was super clean and neat. You could tell the owners took pride in it. I liked the attention to detail like the embossed napkins, and engraved china hotel logo, but it was the hotel staff and the owners that made the biggest difference especially Angela! She was beyond accommodating and a wealth of knowledge about local activities and what to do in the surrounding areas. The breakfast was great with a good variety

We can’t say enough good things about Hotel Rojan. The location in central Sulmona was perfect. We had a lovely suite on the top floor. We were close to everything in town, but it was very quiet, and we had parking right outside the door of the hotel. We had a lovely breakfast served to us every morning. It was the perfect location to explore the Abruzzo region. Most importantly, Angela and her family were so lovely and accommodating. Angela provided us with wonderful ideas of places to see and things to do. She gave us handwritten notes and maps to help us plan our excursions. Angela helped with restaurant and bar choices and made reservations for us. Dinner at Cantina di Biffi, fabulous! We wish that we had planned to spend more days in Sulmona, and we hope to return as there are many other places to see. What a beautiful area, and Angela’s enthusiasm for her region helped us enjoy it so much more than we probably would have without her guidance. We were in Italy for 10 days on this trip, and Sulmona was the best part of it. We also recommend the winery tour at Cantina Margiotta which is just 15 minutes from the hotel. We will definitely stay at Hotel Rojan again. Thank you Angela!

A small hotel managed by a local family, The staff is very friendly and helpful including Luca who is an expert regarding everything in the region and can give significant recommendations for touring. The hotel is located in the historic center and everything is reached by foot within minutes including excellent restaurants.
