Excellent spread of breakfast. Very generous sized rooms, general sense of spaciousness. Large pool for a city centre property. Very obliging and helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Special mention of Ms Rashmi at the front desk who helped us as we had booked 4 rooms of different lengths of stay and had various little requirements. She went out of her way to ensure that our party was well taken care of, despite the renovations taking place when we visited.

They do not offer poolside F&B service (though i was told this might change soon). Having a drinks service by the pool would make the experience even better.

I received a very warm welcome, my room and the whole hotel was clean and tidy. I asked for boiled eggs at breakfast and was so happy to receive the best boiled eggs I have had in India! It is the little things that make for a wonderful stay away from home. On another foodie point… omg the raw honey, just fabulous!! All members of staff were delightful, particularly Anil Daniel and Pratima at the Jiva Spa - the treatments I received were sublime.

Not the properties fault but the building of the new Chennai metro system, outside the hotel was causing road chaos. The musty smell in the corridor leading to the Jiva Spa, needs attention in my humble opinion! Once in the spa the aromas are delightful, maybe some beautiful natural aromatherapy oils could be placed outside the lift so on entering the corridor, guest are greeted with an awesome scent luring you in to the wonderful spa!

Excellent stay at Vivanta IT Expressway Hotel, Chennai. The stay was excellent with extremely very cleaned, well maintained and spacious room. Mr. Rajee is very hardworking in putting his time, effort and energy necessary to make the room thoroughly spotless, very courteous, taking care of special requests quickly and efficiently and kind hearted. We were greatly treated by the executives in reception. The room was clean and spacious. Decent amenities are also provided. Swimming pool was well maintained. Both the security and housekeeping staffs were exceptionally polite and deserve recognition. The highlight was the complimentary breakfast, featuring a diverse selection of Indian and continental dishes. Kudos to the Chef and their team for an excellent job. Restaurant staffs also deserve appreciation for their kind assistance.

It would have been great if there was a Sit out area.

Amazing ambience. Special mention for Kavitha (hope I've got her name right, she hails from the Andaman Islands) from the Front Desk. She was amazing! She recognised me from a previous visit (official) and we got talking. One of my colleagues needed help with freshening up and some clothes to be ironed, she offered the Spa and took care of the ironing. She also directed us to some evening snacks that were being served in the lobby. In my previous stay she had helped me quite graciously with a room change as I was not able to control the Aircon. This courteousness seems to be missing in quite a few good hotels that I've stayed in and Kavitha's behaviour came as a breath of fresh air. Please mentor and guide her. She definitely has what it takes to be in 'Hospitality'. She made our stay special! We really liked your rooms and the overall experience! We've stayed in a few star hotels but we've missed that touch, which we got here. Congratulations and keep rocking!

Your room aircons need some attention. They are difficult to control and set to the temperature that one needs. In both my stays, the room was too cold.

The food was amazing, the rooms were big and the staff were so friendly. They were so helpful in making my stay so comfortable. The breakfast was the best part. The spa was so relaxing and the best feature.

The rooms were good, but they could use a little art, too many blank walls which made it feel clinical. The furniture needed some retouching. Hard to find things that I didn't like to be honest. It was a lively stay.

Great breakfast buffet with live Kitchen. Everything was as per Taj standards. I liked the nice finishing touch of gifting an elephant statue and greeting customers with a traditional chain.

I would have liked for a couch in the room since Novotel, the competitor offers a couch in the room. The tea from Tata tea didn't taste very good. Only two restaurant options. They could definitely have added more.

I have always enjoyed staying at Taj and Vivanta was a fine place. Kids friendly and clean , great hospitality team. Concierge team are professional. My kids definitely want to come once more 😊 Water pressures were good , Room temperature to ventilation was excellent. Very clean and kept fresh. Special mention to Annat and Ananth from the Kitchen team who ensured to connect 1:1 to kids that helped kids enjoy the place more. Special appreciation to Kavitha for her beautiful TLC - her warmth and smile made it all look Welcoming. ✨️

Food overall breakfast was a delight , wasnt a big fan of Kashimiri cuisine for dinner ( We all felt was a waste of experience ) I expected better dining - spoons in chutneys where shared on same plater, some tongs missing in certain foods needing to people to use hands in buffets. Sometimes staff provided different information to same task . I just also realised that It was pool view booking which I didn't get ( would have been a happy corner that way) and also 25% discount on foods / Beverages was not applied.

Breakfast spread catered to our family needs esply our kids, and the pool was the centre of our kids attraction - safe for children n even adults who are not accustomed to swimming

We had planned a family visit to Chennai since not out of country after Covid. There were many countries on the list but since medical was an area to be covered then we considered to go to India, Chennai and visit the Apollo Cradle & Children hospital there (which went very well and very fast, that gave us many days for fun plus relaxation). We never knew Vivanta Chennai IT Expressway OMR was so helpful from the time of booking to the time of checkout. Feels very secured with the security they have of bag and luggage scanning (Security team). The front desk staffs are always smiling and ready to help. The head of HK and his team very friendly, looking to assist at any given time in every way possible. At the restaurant, the staff is eager to take the orders and wanted go make sure that all is going well. Even they assisted the children when they needed to use restroom since the parents were eating at the meantime (they wanted to make sure we enjoy the meal). The bar staff is really good in making any or wished drink at your satisfaction. All in all, I have no doubt that this Vivanta Chennai IT Expressway OMR is family friendly and adjustable in all ways. (Special thanks to our room cleaner for her super care and kindness but sorry I forgot her name.. Names that I can recall and sorry if I missed some: Arpita, Seithengel & Satendra)
