Clean, comfortable room. The Jamaican breakfast was AMAZING. Lovely ocean view from the room - the street between is busy, but the noise levels were not bad. The Pelican Grill next door is excellent and there are small shops nearby for anything you may need (though be prepared to be hustled a bit and offered "smoke"). The rooftop pool area, though not easy to find, is just lovely. All in all a good stay, and I'd be happy to return if work takes me to MoBay in the future.

The front desk staff was uneven; some were very friendly and helpful, while others were not. Note that though early check in is offered, it is US$20.

I liked the lady at the front desk. Give her a raise.

The pillows were terrible. No one likes feathers sticking them when they are trying to sleep. Please get better pillows for us please. I BEG.

The Frontt Desk Clerk was slow. She moved with no sense of urgency. One clerk with a long line; it was a long wait just to check in. Front Desk staffers need to be more professionally attired. I'm not saying they need to dress up in suits n stockings, but they should not be looking like they are just going to the gym, or about to take a casual walk down the road. And get rid of the chairs at the Front Desk. They don't need to be sitting while working; unless they have an injury or disability that requires sitting while working. It's not professional looking n it slows them down. Everything else was great.

Great Frontest and professional checkin. Very friendly Bartender and good mixed Cocktails. Very Clean Room and Terrasse with view to Montego Bay. Good Dinner and also friendly Service. Breakfast very good and great variety of option. Quick connection to the airport with Uber for only 10 US$ and less then 10 Min drive. Fast WLAN Connection. Pool has a nice view over the Bay.

Swimmingpool on the rooftop of the other building only accessible by stairs. You have no service telephone there and if you want to order from the bar they ask you a service fee of 5 US$ for a 5 Minutes walk if you call them with your mobile phone.

Most mornings I had continental breakfast which was very nice. The last morning of my stay I had Jamaican breakfast which was exceptional and I wished that I had ordered that throughout my stay. Reason being that I have been in Jamaica for nearly 3 months and have been very disappointed in what was happening to Jamaican food in the hotels and most of the restaurants but glad that Hotel 39 Jamaica chef restored my faith in Jamaican flavours. My room was very clean and comfortable with a lovely sea view.

I didnt like the small coffee cups and would like bigger cup for my coffee.

Great Location, Staff friendly and Helpful. The food at the restaurant is tasty and servers are very pleasant. The rooms are comfortable and clean and stocked with essentials (Soap, towels, rags and mats in the bathroom. An Iron and Ironing board, Kettle and assortment of teas and bottled water)

This is the Third time that I have stayed at this hotel and each time, there is some unfinished installation in the room. Its usually nothing big but is noticeable. Last time, the bar to run the hangars was not installed in the closet but lay on the floor of the closet and this time, a screw was missing from the shower fitting. Although the shower worked just fine, I lamented that it may be unstable if someone holds onto it and may also affect the longevity of the fitting - a small point and more important to the owners than to me. As with most hotels, the cleaners or maintenance people do not seem to decalcify the shower heads, a task that can be done simply by running your fingers over the rubber teats on the shower head.

My husband and I wanted to enjoy more of a local ambiance of Jamaica instead of a resort. Hotel 39 was the perfect place to feel the culture and be around the everyday Jamaica The staff were so friendly,attentive, and very helpful. They have a few amenities available such as a bar downstairs, a roof top pool, and spa. We enjoyed the views from the pool. The hotel is located on the strip of a busy area. So if you want a quiet place,this may not be for you. Though I highly recommend enjoying the vibes of the people. Also you can walk on over to the beach, which was a big plus. The beaches weren’t as crowded and you can enjoy the calmness of it. The restaurant section was modern with the options of traditional American or Jamaican dishes. We enjoyed the options! I would like to give a shoutout to Narda, when she noticed we weren’t served yet, she made sure to take care of us.thank you Narda! Overall if your goal is to actually enjoy a different culture, food environment,and meet the locals Hotel 39 is for you!😃

We stayed for one night and were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance. The food from the restaurant was delicious. The server was very cordial and professional. The hotel staff person, a tall woman, and who worked the morning we were leaving was friendly and accommodating. Very professional in her demeanor.

The person who checked us in seemed tired so her demeanor was a bit curt. Anyway,she was still helpful.

From the moment we checked in until our departure, everything about our stay at Hotel 39 in Montego Bay was exceptional. I was warmly greeted by the lovely Brittany, whose excellent customer service, kindness, and beautiful smile made every interaction a pleasure. Nevada was also a shining star, consistently going above and beyond to ensure out stay was comfortable. His commitment to service was truly remarkable. I would like to recognize these two outstanding individuals for their dedication and exceptional work. Kudos to the management for having such a fantastic team—I can't wait to return!
