I love the location. The value for the cost was more than I expected. Samsara is well worn, however it is worn in a comfortable at home feeling. Snorkeling right in front of the property was excellent. I snorkeled a couple of times everyday and saw at least 22 different types of fish and two types of stingrays. Samsara has an awesomely relaxing atmosphere.

My only problem with Samsara was that I didn't get the rooms that I booked. I booked two of the garden side cottages. When we arrived there was only one cottage available. They upgraded us to two ocean view rooms side by side. The view was beautiful, however, the rooms were the old fashioned, tight for space, only room for two chairs on the balcony type of rooms. With 6 adults, it was a squeeze. The garden side cottages have bigger rooms. They also have bigger deck areas which accommodate 6 adults better.

Room in the new building was beautiful. Incredible views. The staff is excellent. The food is great as I love local fare. I opted for the all-inclusive which I may not do next time as the drinks are not as good, the house liquor is very weak. But the staff is the best!!

Weak drinks in the all-inclusive menu. Harsh lighting in the room, no lighting over the mirror in the bathroom made it hard to put makeup on before dinner. But none of this spoiled my good time!

The location and main facilities were awesome. Loved the grounds of the main resort.

The Bungalows are across a VERY busy street. There are no indications of this in the booking process. So you don't stay on the main grounds. Had a giant rat run through our room night two...They made it right and upgraded us to the newer portion of the facilities. We like to experience different restaruants, as such we didn't take advantage of an "All Inclusive" package. While service was top notch, breakfast was just ok. Dinner at the resort is good, but one night was enough.

Love the staff - so friendly. Beautiful view - we stayed on the newer side of the property. The rooms were ICE cold! Buffet was good - good variety of foods - we did the all-inclusive - be aware that there is only one restaurant on the property and the all-inclusive option is a buffet - plenty of food to eat and we were satisfied with the food We did some cliff jumping right off the edge of the property, which was fun - we brought snorkeling gear as well that we used along the cliffs We spent one 1/2 day at the Legends, the sister property, along 7 mile beach - nice change for the day - note though that there is a small area for sitting on the beach for Legends, but they did have chairs you could use - you could also eat the buffet at Legends as well if you are part of the all-inclusive If you are staying at Samsara for more than a few days, I would suggest doing some excursions to break up the day - not much to do at the resort unless you just want to lounge at the pool all day. We drove to YS Falls and did the Black River Cruise. Also went to Blue Hole. Suggest you go to Patsy’s for ice cream - I think we went there 4 times during the week - just a few minutes away from Samsara. We ate at Ivan’s one night for dinner - fantastic! We also went to Rick’s cafe to watch the high dive cliff jumping. We also rented a car at the airport, which gave us flexibility to come and go - much better and cheaper than renting taxis - super expensive this way - for example, they were charging $100 for 2 people for a round trip to Blue Hole (30 minutes away). We had a group of 8, which would have been $400 - NO thank you! The rental car is so worth it but beware of the POT HOLES!! They are everywhere - be careful.

no pool towels were provided so you have to bring your own or just use your room towels; no shower soap, shampoo either. Ants were in room upon arrival - they quickly addressed this and sprayed for them - didn’t have an issue rest of week.

The breakfast was included, Chef Georgia is a lovely person and a cooking machine! The staff in the restaurant, band were really lovely. Adesia at the front desk was a ray of sunshine. All the staff are warm and inviting. The cliffs that you can dive off and snorkel are incredible. The reef around the place is gorgeous with several species of fish and warm, beautiful water. We left our hostel and booked this, it was nearly the same price if a crazy-good place with two pools on the property. The old rooms are fine. They have new rooms also. Stayed on the Ocean Side. The bungalows across the road look well-maintained and charming. It is family-owned and they are making an effort to update some of it and it shows they care. Pablo's restaurant is 200m away and is great, authentic and totally Jamaican. His Oxtail, Curried Goat and Salt Fish Fritters are second to none. Tiny, secret bar in the Yard is a lovely way to meet locals.

OMG there is nothing to complain about. I would like some tea and a kettle in the room, but really can't complain.

This place has it all. We never left. We never had to. We were so unbelievably happy there. There was no need. Stunning from every space. The water incredible. Able to jump off of cliffs into the ocean and snorkel right there. The staff was incredible. The food was delicious and authentic and the ambience Was just complete and total serene relaxation. I could not be happier about our stay at Samsara resort. We had full inclusive, and we took a deluxe Room Sea VŪZ. It was so comfortable in the room. Nice and cool. They cleaned it daily and it was impeccable. The bathroom was fantastic. The water was hot! The buffet style breakfast lunch, and dinner allowed for everyone to find something delicious. The staff was so sweet. I would list all their names but in fear of forgetting someone I won’t. I love them all. This was an incredible surprise. Honestly didn’t know what to expect and it blew my expectations away. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.! They arranged a driver for us that met us at the airport with a sign and took us directly to the resort. I highly suggest you ask for Junior if you want a driver. He was great! And he’s happy to arrange for taking you to excursions, Rick‘s Café, all the places that the area is known for. One last thing… Our flight LANDED at 12:30. We landed, were at the resort, had a cocktail in my hand and had already had lunch by 3:30. This resort is about two hours away. They arranged a late lunch for us. Yeah, we went through customs! And I didn’t do the club mobay because it was sold out. (And also clearly not needed. Customs was quick.! fill out form online first.) I can’t wait to go back! Also, the Wi-Fi was terrific. Sadly, I had to work a bit, but honestly, there was nothing negative about this place. It was my daughter and I and we felt safe and loved here!!

I love the spa. Latoya was amazing. The recognition on being a welcome back guest was phenomenal. I have been to 5 star resorts and they are never this welcoming at Samara I feel more at home and even as a local I felt safe. Ms. Odacia at the reception is always warm and welcoming with her smile and approach. Samsara will always be my number one getaway with this continued service. Kimmie at the restaurant was very inviting as well. and the facilities are well kept. Its like a vacation where you never want to leqve the resort to go anywhere else. I love Samsara Cliff Resort. There was nothing I did not like to be honest.

The pools (three of them) were Amazing, one was super fun to swim in as it went from 3 ft to 8ft with proper demarcations and all, there were enough chairs and chill spots for everyone, the garden was a lovely, the buildings were renovated on the inside and there was a completely new side, the restaurant was rustic and homely, the entire property gets a solid 8.5 or 9 out of ten for me, kissing marks for things insignificant such as very places needing fresh paint or a piece of board that may needs to be changed but the property was really good.

Beautiful property, very clean, secure, and friendly staff. The pools are great with plenty of comfy loungers and beds with gorgeous views. You can cliff jump and access the ocean right on the property, although this section was closed due to rough waters when I was there😔 I will definitely stay here again. BTW I stayed in what the reviews call the "old building" and my room was fine.

I did not choose AI and was very glad because the restaurant was only open for 2 hours 3x a day. I ate breakfast once, and it was adequate, but there are tons of fantastic, inexpensive local spots nearby. Also, I suspect they water down the drinks at the bar cause they are extremely weak.

The location was an absolute dream and the staff was super helpful. Just the fact that we are able to snorkel at our own leisure is a such a bargain with how much you’ll end up spend on a catamaran excursion to snorkel

Everything was great; however I do see reviews about staff “not being friendly” lol what a joke. What matters to me is that they help u with what you ask for. Not everyone is going to kiss your butt or smile, but they will NEVER SAY NO; and THATS what matters! ABSOLUTELY NO COMPLAINTS!
