staff were very helpful and friendly room was great size !

bathroom was a bit tight and bath tub rather deep which makes it quite risky getting in and out

Hotel was antique chic and our twin room had plenty of space for us and our 2 large suitcases. As it didn't have an onsen, the hotel provided 2 X bath salts as a substitute which was a nice touch and they smelt divine in the bath. The bed was on the softer side by Japanese standards (which is still quite firm but I appreciated the extra give in the mattress). Pillow was a solid beanbag type thing and it was amazing. Microwave on level 3 was appreciated although there wasn't any English signage for it (it was in the laundry area with the vending machines - which was listed on signage). The hotel about a 12 minute walk from the JR station which was a bit of a trek in the snow with heavy luggage but manageable - I'd advise timing it with the bus if you can. It is well placed near the bus station and all the restaurants which was, in our opinion, a good trade off. We also liked the type of green tea provided in the room.

Spacious room but not the toilet. 1 min walk to Abashiri bus terminal. JR train doesn't stop near the airport Memanbetsu, only public transport is the airport bus which starts from this terminal. 5 mins walk to Abashiri train stn.

Rather quiet. Didn't meet anyone along the room corridor for 5 days and only a couple of souls at the lobby. This might be a plus point?!

The staff was extremely friendly. I arrived rather late in the evening but was still greeted by two very energetic and helpful staff at the front desk. One of the staff had spent few years in Taiwan and has excellent command of Chinese. Had some really meaningful conversation and experienced the warm hospitality of Japan.

The WiFi in the room was a bit unreliable. Otherwise the hotel facility was excellent.

The convenient location really sells it. Unluckily encountered a snowstorm. All itenary has to put on hold, stayed in the hotel for the entire day. Wifi able to cope for whole day usage. Thank god

The design, seems a little outdated. But it is fine for the value. It has everything that we need.

The room was large with a high ceiling and a view of the harbor entrance. Air-conditioning was adjustable and comfortable. The location was within walking distance to the icebreaker and restaurants. Also 7/11 was next door.

Price was a little high.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Abashiri! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Abashiri!

I liked the location. The room was great and so were the staff. They were really helpful and lovely to deal with!! The room was huge!!

I found that the mattress was too hard to sleep comfortably. I woke up with back and hip pain due to the hard mattress.

Super clean even though facility is not up to date but you can tell all facilities are well looked after and cleaned. Bathroom was spotless. Location is great and good value for money. The tablets for hot bath was really good too. Staff was friendly and helpful.
