The property is brand new and has been very well designed, the owners have paid considerable attention to details and have curated an exception experience that has a boutique feel. The entire area, restaurants and shops nearby, have carried the same vibe and together create a small precinct that is quite nice. It is clearly aimed at younger travelers who want to connect with the community. They have done a very nice job.

We had a lovely balcony with an amazing view of the water, but it is on a main road and pretty loud if you are outside (they have used double glazing, so it is not an issue when the doors are closed) In addition, there are power lines obstructing the lines of site.

The development of the area to be a tourist destination is interesting and cute- Few minutes to beach parks and other sites. The packed breakfast (in a little bag on hook outside of room door in the morning) was good to grab and go- I just wish they told us when it was delivered to the outside of our room so we could have known when it was available to take. Free and easy parking. Free drink at check in. Cute pool area. Great view from balcony/room. Road noise didn’t prevent us from hearing ocean sounds. Fridge in the room. Balcony was clean and really appropriate to be clean and sit to be able to enjoy the view. The remaining Japanese houses and rice fields next to the closed awaji castle wall made it so beautiful and a nice view in addition to the ocean. Beds were comfortable- no bath but shower pressure was great-would be back.

In the booking listing it seemed like the sauna was included - but it was only available at an additional charge of around $15 which at this price point seemed unnecessary. It felt salesy at check-in being asked various small up-charges. Carpet was weird (like a burlap) and hard to walk on but we just used the provided disposable slippers.

Great place ! Nice design, very comfy, super clean. I had a very relaxing evening at the sauna. Nice to see the sunset from the beautiful quiet room.

I would have like that the pool wasn’t so cold so i can enjoy it more than 30 seconds. Since there are already cold baths for after the sauna, i’m not sure why would the pool need to be so cold. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Every door slams super hard. Very hard to open if you have one hand holding something Booking said there’s breakfast, but the staff said no breakfast.

True to its slow name — love the setup! They have the bonfire which is great to chill beside and sit around for a slow evening. I love the breakfast and you have to set it up by yourself. The staffs were very friendly and helpful despite the language differences.

Great location, the staff was super nice, we had a nice room with a cute balcony overlooking the sea. I forgot my necklaces at the hotel and as soon as they found them they send them over to my next hotel and it arrived in no time. Will definitely stay again.

Great design, light, lovely breakfast, clean and friendly .Art design, lots of references to Hockney. If your a fan of polished concrete you are onto a winner! The local town or Gunge is sweet and the beach/ food great.

Some info about travelling around, the buses were great but we only found out until later.

The staffs of the property were super nice. We can see the ocean in bed😀

Public transportation is limited.

The facilities are quiet and comfortable. The Sauna was excellent.

Amazing stay at the Kamome slow hotel. I will be visiting again
