In a day where you could swim it would be amazing - unfortunately this time there were jellyfish & it was cloudy.

The parking is across a little street which isn’t really a huge issue unless the hotel was packed or something when you went to unload or load your luggage. The main issue is having to be bothered with getting the free parking tickets to get out from the lot at the front desk (they provide it nicely- just it’s annoying to have to go in and out of public parking lot- it’s a bus terminal). If anyone reads this the system is like this; go to the bus terminal parking closest to the hotel and get a ticket from the machine on your way in- go to hotel and get the parking ticket from them (so now you have 2 tickets ), on the way out insert the parking lot ticket followed by the hotel parking ticket (which pays the fee). So no big deal.

The view was very beautiful, it's at the beach front and the beach is clean and well maintained. The sunrise view is breathtaking and indeed it's one of the highlights that the staff at the reception tell us right away what time the sunrise is. There are also no convenience stores that are blocks away, you would need to walk a bit to get to restaurants and stores, but the hotel conveniently has a pantry area where you can microwave your food and get some free coffee. The mattress was also very comfy and the pillows have different consistencies, one is dense while the other is fluffy. Perfect for sleeping. The front desk staff are also very friendly and accommodating. I am sorry that I didn't get their names but even the one who handled our check in is very cute 🥰

I think this is a limitation on the area, but supermarkets, restaurants and tourist spots are a bit far (for foreigners who don't normally walk 😅), about 8-10 mins away. But the bus station is accessible and very near the hotel. If they can have more food items and like a small convenience store near the lobby, then it would have been perfect. Though they sell drinks and sanitary napkins in the front desk. Hope they'd sell more items.

The big negative was the large amount of plastic bottles and other rubbish washed up on the beach from the sea. The seaside view is one of this hotel's chief assets and the tidal rubbish left festering in the sand is a real eyesore. No doubt cleaning the beach is the local council's responsibility, but the Fairfield by Marriott is a major business in the area and should pull its weight by ensuring the beach is kept clean, even if only to preserve and promote one of its major assets -- the view.

We've stayed in other Fairfields in the mountains, and this one on Awaji Island provides the same comfort and amenities. You're getting a very comfortable room at a decent price. The staff were kind and courteous, like the staff at other locations. The lights of distant Kobe and Osaka are nice to see at night. However, the beach needs some cleaning up, and the neighborhood is very quiet.

There should be free parking like other Fairfield hotels in Japan.

We were here for dinner one night and the rooms were new and reasonably priced - our was looking straight out to the sea. Staff were friendly and held onto our bags the next morning while we looked around. Free tea and coffee downstairs and a communal table was nice for meeting people. Coin laundry facilities were great.

Not many eating options in the near vicinity and a bit strange to have no restaurant or cafe at all but this is what's advertised and no doubt explains the reasonable pricing. Parking is off site (and free) but very close and you can still drop your luggage at the door.

Very functional rooms, compact but well ordered, almost like a boat cabin. The view of the water and beach were lovely. The shower was really nice at the end of the day. They sent us to a close by Teppanyaki that was wonderful.

Breakfast was not available, went to Lawson store. This was probably because it was early December with very few visitors in town. In summer the location is incredible for a beach holiday.

Property was very clean, and well designed. Like the sink to be outside the toilet, and the bathroom separate from the WC. View was great, as we had a gorgeous Seaview. However, the tap in the sink area dispenses only cold water, and the pressure was very low.

What a perfect location - at the end of the bus stop from Shin-Kobe. With its own little park and beach! The park had a fabulous repro of Michelangelo’s David and Tower Bridge. The park was a municipal park but the cordoned off beach was just behind the hotel. The beach was clean and the water very inviting! The staff was so helpful in getting a cab to go to Bridge World.

Spotlessly clean, lovely and accommodating staff, fab location with sea views and a couple of minutes’ walk to the bus station, tasty breakfast.

It was disappointing to have the same bento breakfast for two days in a row. Otherwise, it would have been a 10.

Very clean and great service

Hotel was great for price however while the beach was nice in the morning, the beach was not as swimmable in the afternoon due to too much seaweed (obviously the hotel cant do much about the seaweed!) overall hotel stay was very good
