Great place if you want to explore Gifu. The host shows you the exciting things to do in town and was a nice man. I loved the kitchen for cooking. Very clean and pleasant. The tatami mat rooms were very quaint. Slippers were provided, which I appreciated. I found my futon very comfy :).

The rooms were a little crowded since the locker was in the middle of the room. This was not a big deal though. The container in the shower was a little dusty.

It was a super cozy vibe all around and the owner was the sweetest guy ever. Location is decent, but you need to be comfortable taking the bus around to Gifu station. The Gifu castle hike and squirrel village were highlights for sure so check those out!

I mistook the wifi passcode to have a b instead of a 6 because of how the password was written in one of the rooms, but other than that it was fantastic!

Inside is beautiful and the owner is so nice and friendly. He recommended me some places. I love that there is a library nearby and it was designed by Toyo Ito. Being an architecture student it just makes me so happy. The guesthouse is also nearby bus stop (Kinkabashi and Inaba dori 7 mins away)

The boss is a very kind and good person. He stays in the property and he gives a very good vibe so everyone respects the guesthouse. You can cook there and do laundry there. It is super clean and Boss cleans everyday. I stayed there to escape the golden week and had a party with the guests and made many friends. Boss is really the heart and soul of the place and he also gives you privacy. He built the guesthouse himself so there is a lot of pride and joy. There are bicycles and a projector system to watch movies on. It is really cool to see how he had built the place to be comfortable for guests.

Nothing. There is only one shower room but all the guests have respect and we all know how to pace ourselves. Just no hair conditioner but that is a small thing.

Highly recommend if you stay in Gizu as a solo traveller. The place was very charming! Bed was confortable, location great to visit the castle and around, staff was helpful and bikes were available 😁

One shower for the entire place so if there are a lot of people it could be a problem. But not so many people when I was there so it was perfect.

We stayed here for Gifu halfmarathon and it was just perfect. The host is great. He even offered us an after-marathon shower. The location is best, in walking distance to the halfmarathon starting line. And the tatami room is beautiful. Would definitely stay again!

It's an old house so the walls are thin and we heard everyone waking up early in the morning and the traffic from the nearby road.

Good location. You can walk around Gifu from Inabadori to Yotsuyacho where guesthouse is located. The owner gave me good suggestions. Here made me feels like home (in Japanese style).

I had to check in very late (after 4pm). Fortunately, I could drop my luggage there before checking in.

Great host, kitchen where one can cook, laundry for free, and very clean. Also close to water and walking trail.

Location was a little farther than I thought, 30 minutes by foot to the Gifu Station but serviced well by buses.

The owner is very helpful and kind. He searched a good restaurant for me and came to tell me where it was. He let me use the bike for free. The place is very good and quiet. He gave me information about kormaran fishing too and where to go to see it without using the expansive tourist boat

Highly recommend! Great place to stay for few nights. Very close to the castle and also very close to the nature if you want to do some great walks. Everything was fantastic!
