The designers of this hotel have gone to a great deal of trouble to convey a very upscale, beautiful ambience in their use of materials like polished concrete and natural timber. The public bath area is also extremely well appointed. Staff were efficient and very friendly.

There is a mismatch between aspects like the fine cotton used in the room yukata and the cheap powdered coffee and milk offerings. I also had to pay to upgrade my room so that I had an electric kettle in the room. A kettle should be an absolute basic in a hotel room, especially since the hotel does not have a coffee dispensing machine.

The hotel is well designed and very clean. The beds are comfortable and they change the towels every day and leave bottles of water at the door. In general this is a nice hotel and I would stay here again. The restaurant had lovely food and staff were nice. We booked online before arriving so we had no issues. The tea bags from local farms in the room were much appreciated.

I was expecting a little more given that it is supposed to be a 4 star hotel. It would be nice if the room was refreshed and the cups changed each day. They should really have decent size rubbish bins in the room as well.

Everything. The reception area , bar/restaurant area ( absolutely no food smell whichever fantastic!! ) and the Onsen area are lovely. Our room was fantastic, super clean, all you need and very stylish and the bed super comfortable. Wonderful linen and amenities with a thoughtful concern for the environment. The people are just all lovely, very helpful and very well organised . Many thanks again to everyone for the fantastic and very kind service 🙏🙏🙏. Lovely food and also a nice variety of drinks with a focus on local which is fantastic. Location perfect ! Absolutely perfect hotel !

Everything ☺️☺️☺️. We stayed twice in the span of 3 months and just absolutely love it. The people the property the restaurant. All just 😍😍😍. And super clean. The Onsen too is fantastic. And the hotel owner is also very much involved in the community, local crafts and the arts in general. Just so so commendable 💯✅🔝👏👏👏. The coffee served and available in the room is also fantastic. From the nearby roaster Kurikuri. Their signature Kurikuri Blend is a rich, dark roast and so delicious! We hope to be back soon!

I arrived by motorcycle and was made very welcome. The staff were all friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. All helped me with my lack of Japanese language skills. The rooms appear basic but they are stylish in an understated way but are very well thought out and comfortable. The restaurant was truly excellent with creative food with local and global influences. I think that the food was amongst the best I have had on this 10 day trip. The spa area was stylish and modern. Very nice. I will visit again.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Really appreciate the effort to suggest and make reservation for a local favourite place, Tagosaku for my dinner. The availability of the public bath and sauna helps to relieve the fatigue after a long day and they offer discounts for their in-house bar's beer and highball. Overall great experience!

Great hotel with a spacious and comfortable room. The restaurant in the lobby serves amazing food. It's an easy walk to the train station. Good facilities, there's a common use microwave and an area with comfortable chairs to relax in. I'd stay again if I was in the area.

Not a big deal but the window blind let some light in, so I'd recommend bringing an eye mask if you prefer a darker room.

I really enjoyed this hotel. The decor is modern and minimalist. The Onsen on the 2nd floor is set up like a wellness retreat with new age style wellness music piped into it. The room layout was a bit unusual too in a good way and there was space for everything.

Very smart hotel with spacious rooms and a lovely, peaceful Onsen. Not too far to walk from the station.

Restaurant hours were a bit disappointing.

Dinner was excellent at the very good restaurant and breakfast was fair for the price.

Didn't like paying for the "spa" (onsen) which we didn't want
