The view outside the window was amazing. You can feel the impeccable management of the hotel through the cleanliness of the room, the communal bath and the environment. The staffs were hospitable, respectful and genuinely welcoming. This was a very enjoyable stay, will definitely come here again.

Some of the amenities can be showing its age. The ventilation fan in the bathroom and the fridge were making rather loud noises.

the room is spacious and have nice new overlooking the ocean. Amenities are great with coffee beans and grounding machine, teapot and cups for tea, Onsen is good. Breakfast is Japanese style but with good selection and quality. Coffee area at lobby with selections of sweet stuff.

The aircon is quite noisy, Bed too hard.

The hotel staff was really friendly and we have always been assigned waiters who spoke English well, who did a fantastic job in making our dinner and breakfast experience memorable by explaining what we were eating and making some conversation. They also came up with a written translation of the breakfast menu, which I believe was done just for us. Food, especially the dinner, was above our expectations and matching the level of upscale structures.

The structure is nicely kept and clean, but may benefit of some more maintenance and renovations. The onsen space was nice but a bit understated for the type of structure. Accessing the structure without a car is possible, but requires ca 20 minutes walking from the nearest station, with otherwise no restaurants nearby (not unknown to us though, since the staff made us aware of this ahead of our arrival so that we could organise ourselves).

The best rural hotel I have been in Japan so far. Such quality is hard to find unless you pay a fortune. Very nice hot pool area including outside pool. Impressive lobby. Free shuttle from/to JR station. Very polite and excellent staff.

The location is hard to reach without car. We had to go to a station to the east even though coming from the west so we could use the shuttle service. Took 13 minutes from the station by shuttle so walking isn't an option. There's a closer station but walking up to the hotel isn't recommend, it's uphill, curvy streets only.

The room was beautiful, facing the ocean, and comfortable. a The staff was very helpful, attentive. Their shuttle to and from the Toba station. the onsen was great

the building was under renovation. it was impossible to do laundry. the restaurant is buried in the basement without any window, in the saddest location possible. It’s quite expensive for what it is. The WiFi was only available in the room and the lobby and not in the restaurant.

We visited out of season, and just after they reopened, following covid. The staff are all wonderful, the majority of the building is in good condition but there would be benefits to be had from updating some of the rooms facilities. The breakfast was a feast and if you visit the small restaurant on the GF you won't be disappointed.

Rooms are a bit dated, and we could have done with some blackout curtains as our windows faced east.

Beautiful. Views of the sea. Walk through the woods to the beach. Luxurious. Japanese banquet dinner (with some challenging ingredients!) Foot spa in the garden

Location is gorgeous—could be a top resort in the region

The facilities are dated. Needs significant updating.
