Our stay here was amazing. Everything was in excellent taste and thoughtfulness. The staff was wonderful. Our interactions while limited because of the language barrier were always courteous and kind. The attention to detail was wonderful, the cuisine was wonderful the indoor and outdoor onsens were wonderful. The futons were dreamy and comfortable.

I had no idea that it would be so difficult to traverse the IZU penisula! However, that is due to me not understanding the topography of the area and in no way a shortcoming of the ryokan. I wish that I could have understood more about the surrounding area and if there were places that we could walk to and explore. It was the most expensive night of our stay but with the level of detail and attentiveness it was worth it.

I stayed here for 2 nights on my own to celebrate my 30th birthday and had a GREAT time. Room: The room I got assigned to is spacious and clean with great privacy. There are so many beautiful details in the room's decoration that simply staying in it without doing anything is enjoyable enough. The outdoor hot spring has an amazing view to the sea and is super comfortable. Service: The staff are extremely nice and polite. Even though they don't speak English, they try everything to communicate with international guest without making me feel any discomfort. Food: Breakfast and dinner are included. I didn't even need to think about lunch as the meals provided by the hotel are too luxurious and I was full all day. For my 2-night stay, every dish provided in the dinner is different from the other day. Environment: The hotel is located in a local neighborhood. Instead of being drowned by tourists, I got to experience the tranquility and peacefulness of rural life here. Transportation: I took taxi for JR station <> hotel, which is a 10min or so ride. The hotel can help reserve a taxi for you upon request as it's hard to get one at the location of the hotel by yourself. I also went to the Izu Shobaten Zoo which is a 35-40min walk or 10min walk + 15min bus ride from the hotel.

The place is very perfect for winding down and escape vacation, the little private onsen just outside the room within the garden is very nice touch. The menu for both breakfast and dinner was so fantastic authentic taste of Japan cuisine.

The wifi and cellular is not quite stable since the hotel is located on the mountain, however it won’t bother you if you don’t really need wifi for connection.

Great experience and Value for money. Spacious room with an indoor and an outdoor private bath. Sea and sunrise can be viewed afar from the outdoor bath of our room. Fine Kaiseki dinner and breakfast in-room dining with great service. Our nakai named Tori provided fabulous service and translated the name of every dish diligently using an app as we don’t speak Japanese.

The atmosphere was tranquil. The room was absolutely beautiful. The bathing facilities were immaculate. Everything was supplied and the staff member who hosted us was amazing. Food was incredible.

I wish we could have had an English translation of the menu.

Although we are late arrival, property still waiting us patiently. All facilities were clean and well maintained. All staff were excellent and sincerely. Food were delicious Close to the izu zoo and mt omuro, 10mins to drive.

Excellent customer service, amazing food, and the private baths were a treat! Kobayashi-san took great care of us.

Hard to access unless you have a car. You’ll need to have some Japanese/Japanese etiquette to make the most of your trip.
