One main point for choosing the hotel was the Onsen which we were keen to try. It was amazing although you do have to be nude which, if I had known in advance may have made me choose somewhere else.

Another main point for choosing the hotel was the location as it looked as if you could walk around the local area. This is not the case due to it being hilly so the roads wind up and down with few pavements. You cannot walk to or from the hotel to anywhere. This meant we were ‘forced’ to have dinner in the hotel and the cost for 5 people was the same as the cost of the suite I booked for 1 night !!

The location was a windy drive from Gotemba outlets, but the location was nice with ocean views and close to the Zoo and Mt Omuro chair lift. The breakfast was amazing and more than expected. But then the dinner was even better, with fresh sashimi, shrimp tempura, and steak, among other things. Definitely recommend getting breakfast and dinner (we did two breakfasts and one dinner). I did the Onsen at night and it was great and empty when I went. The cool air would blow the steam from the surface of the water, and it was nice to have the contrasting temperatures. Playing table tennis was also fun, which you can reserve for 30 minute slots.

The breakfast is definitely more busy so you may end up waiting 30 minutes after you check in to get seated, if you aren't one of the first groups. Something to keep in mind depending on your plans. The billiard table is popular and a 30 min system of reserving times could be beneficial. For Americans, the "bacon" is not the same as American bacon. It's more similar to canadian bacon or turkey sausage.

Very professional staff. Huge room with very comfortable beds. Even had a kitchen and full size bath. Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was buffet with quite a good choice. The onsen was very good (outside onsen with good views + inside baths). Resort even has good sized indoor swimming pool. Amazing value!

A bit out of the way, but no problem to get there with taxi.

Big room. And we choose to sleep on Japnese style Tatami mattress and mat. It smells so good and firm for us. We abandoned the modern beds. The view from the balcony is excellent. We saw the moonlight coming into the room at night. So touching and peaceful. The bathtub is so big. I love the freezer here. Not a fridge!Fresh air is here when you walk out of the room. Staff are polite and friendly.

I brought back my towels after Onsen to dry since I have only one set per person. It's not convenient in all.

Super spacious rooms (seems like a converted apartment building?), gorgeous views, others had mentioned that there’s not much nearby but with a car, a bunch of restaurants and convenience stores are within 5 minutes’ drive. We came with our 15 month old and felt that it was a very safe environment for a baby, so we could really relax and let him run around. Also super convenient to local attractions like Granpal, Shaboten Zoo and Jogasaki Kaigan.

A very minor critique, but the kids play room is on a reservation system for only one family at a time, and the several times we called to book, it was already reserved till late at night or through the next morning. Again, we didn’t even know about this facility when booking so not a big deal, but weren’t able to make use of it.

The location was excellent for exploring the area. There are several family friendly attractions very close to the hotel as well as shopping and food options. Naomi in the Relaxation Spa is very friendly and does amazing work. Best massage Ive ever had. Definitely recommend booking one of their services. My family loved the onsen spa as well. The shower and tub in our room were fabulous and the views were incredible. Front desk staff was also very helpful and friendly.

• Pool can’t be used before 1pm during week days, temperature inside was a little bit cold • no seats or chairs on the balcony. Great view, large rooms, tatami sleep is wonderful, very quiet. Great location.

Facility is old, hallways and restaurant entrance could be cleaner, balconies are full of bird poop. There is a big construction starting in front of the resort. Maybe a new resort ? Could be a disturbance in the future

The service staff had a great attitude. Although there was an issue with the bathtub control panel, we made a quick call to the front desk and they resolved it promptly. The room was spacious and very clean.

The dinner menu for the past two days has been a bit repetitive. It could be more varied, but the taste is still quite good.

I was very satisfied with all the following: heated pool, rotenburo, table tennis, billiards, room view, room size, buffet, ease of parking

The only problem was the window in the tatami mat room, which rattled and whistled in the strong wind to the extent that we could not sleep well. (I'm sure this is an easy fix.)
