We wanted a hotel in the city of Kagoshima with a view of sakurajima and this absolutely delivered. We booked a suite which was absolutely incredible for the views. I didn't expect I'd love the sauna as much as I did, but it was perfect after a day of hiking. The location was great and very walkable to tons of restaurants and shops. We actually didn't interact with any staff upon arrival because of the QR check in, but it was really very easy. We booked this hotel even though we spent a lot of time hiking kaimondake and we're so glad we did!

Wish parking was included or partially validated, but it was incredibly easy and affordable to find overnight parking.

The rooms are small but have everything you would need. The beds are comfortable, you can make coffee in the morning, the bathroom was well designed and the shower was excellent.

The check-in process with the pre-check in and QR codes is ridiculous, it takes more time than a normal check-in, and often does not work, so you need a receptionist's help anyways. Check out is also burdensome, you need to go to the top floor of the hotel, scan everything you can think of, and it does not work. You end up waiting for a receptionist to appear and mark your room on her list. The normal reception with someone there at all times and getting rid of these machines would be preferable.

Loved our big, clean, comfortable room with view of the volcano. Fun area with lots of little bars and restaurants and a good supermarket across the square (on a corner). Interesting city to visit—don’t miss the Sengan-en house and gardens and the ferry to Sakurajima, with good 3km hike along the waterfront from the ferry.

I found the self checkin in to be a bit of a time-suck and the staff took me through the whole process again. Was hard to get good local info from staff when we asked about getting a taxi, but they were friendly and tried their best. It’s a lovely modern comfortable hotel nonetheless, recommended.

Not sure if the hotel can be blamed for that, but the breakfast in the rooftop restaurant is not worth the money. A smallish plate with salad and some cold cuts, plus bread and croissants, and that’s it. The view was great, though…

The breakfast was very very disappointing. I stopped taking it after the first day. If there is a no breakfast option and it's cheaper that's your option. They didn't service the room in 3 nights although they do change the towels and remove trash.

I want to live here. The rooms are large well thought out, beautifully decorated and impeccably clean with every amenity you could think of. The staff have been amazing helping us with our room and also booking a ferry to Okinawa (which was a challenge with the ferry company due to the language barrier). We ended up staying 3 nights, so in love with Kagoshima

Feels very new, great design and luxe finishings. Highlight would be the private onsens available for booking with charges.

Like most new trendy properties the entire check in/out process is entirely self-serviced on the top floor. Would have been nice to have someone available at a reception welcoming and attending to guests at the ground floor.

Very nice rooms in new-ish hotel with great location. I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again for another trip to Kagoshima. The view's are also very nice, especially on a higher floor. Great for families with toddlers too, since the beds are very spacious.

Comfortable beds, spacious room, good natural light. Good dinner at restaurant. Clean. Good restaurants in the neighborhood.

Small breakfast set. Automatic lights coming on at night when walking to restroom (too bright). There were only bean bag chairs which are not great for adults.

Great self check-in hotel well located in Kagoshima. We stayed on a higher floor, which provided fantastic views of the city. Very well equipped, large, clean and confortable rooms. Access to washing machines and dryer.

Complimentary breakfast was limited and quite expensive.
