I loved my stay here. The bed was comfortable there were two types of pillows provided, one of them was a seed pillow which is so comfortable to use. The amenities provided were comprehensive and of astonishingly good quality for single use products. Even the hotel provided shampoo, conditioner and body wash were of better quality than what I’ve received at much more “refined” establishments. The room was small and efficient, good lighting, a really fast air conditioning system (perfect for Kagoshima summers). The staff were super helpful and welcoming. Without realising it I’d purchased the meal included option which was a happy accident because the Japanese style breakfast was so filling it saved me having to buy lunch! As a solo budget traveler, I couldn’t have asked for a better more comfortable stay Truly an exceptional value for money and overall perfect for my needs.

This hotel is two buildings, across the street from each other. Check-in, amenities, and rooms etc., are in the north building, whereas breakfast and additional rooms are in the south building. The split facilities meant going outside for breakfast, for example, a little inconvenient, but doable. Breakfast options were excellent. Room was clean and modern, although somewhat small by N. American/European standard. Hotel is located in Tenmonkan area, close to transportation, business, restaurants and historical areas.

As stated above, some designs were little inconvenient, like going across the road for breakfast, small rooms (Japanese standard), housekeeping every third day (which seems to be a new standard now), although clean towels, coffee, tea and yukata were provided daily outside your door.

Wonderfully quiet. I slept very well. Fridge in the room. I liked the location. Front desk staff were kind.

Front desk staff did not speak English, but there is a tourist information centre nearby which was very helpful. There are two washing machines and two dryers on the first floor, but the dryers are electric and especially slow; there is a self-service laundromat five minutes away by foot which is much faster. (There is a paid laundry service at the hotel, I think.) The room was small.

Can't beat an APA hotel, I am collecting the origami crane from each one I stay at, I'm starting to build up a collection. The older wing did not have such a high step up into the bathroom as some of the hotels I have been in, which is a big deal for me, I do not climb well.Up in the vending machine room, they had a huge rack of extra pillows, and also noise cancelling machines, so its nice not to have to bother the staff to use those. also the vending machine had great 200 yen whiskey cans, which I "need" cuz I broke my tooth

Am I missing something here? no free vod movies at this location? cuz I watched stuff totally for free at nobeoka apa, and some things for free at miyanokonojo apa.And one washing machine for that whole building? - the other building , across the street had machines , too, so maybe they have more. I don't think that's enough machines in the old building, and I don't want to shlepp my dirties out across the street once I am in my jammies!

Great location, centrally located and close to lots of restaurants and shops. Just a few bus stops away from main station. Staff was nice but spoke minimal English.

Lacking of public bath, some APA hotels have a public bath which is really nice but this location doesn’t have one.

Amazing location in the middle of everything. Staff were extremely helpful and nice. Lobby is beautiful and new, there’s a coin laundry and a microwave.

Room is a bit old, could use a renovation

Comfortable hotel in a good location with helpful staff. Paid parking is around the corner. Tenmonkan Arcade is a short walk and lots of dining options nearby.

Basically room felt a little small basically but TV can switch language to English which was good!

We were in the old building, which is exactly what we paid for, however felt a little like a building site on the ground floor and the advertisement for 'short stays' 4hours was a little off putting. Breakfast items were cold and overall disappointing.

Great location in busy area, but quiet and bright room, good Internet connection, perfect to combine leisure and work.

Nice reception area and good parking option nearby for 1000 Yen the night.

The rooms are super small, so that you can hardly move. No matter if single or double.
