The breakfast was a combination Japanese/western. Good selection, good price, excellent service and a 3 hour serving time. Options varied daily and were more than ample. I recommend adding the breakfast because it was value for money.for us and only a heavy doonahappy with the overall facilities

The heating was set to a Japanese level of comfort, too hot for us combined with a heavy doona. Luckily we could open the windows to get a fresh , cool breeze. Otherwise we were very happy with the overall facilities

I liked the service,; every day clean towels and dressing gown. The room has Slippers, good internet, and the switches next to your head were really comfortable.

I felt uncomfortable that the window can not be opened and I missed somehow the wardrobe too. Although they had some hangers...is not the same. Otherwise was all great

The breakfast was fine for us. The location was convenient. The parking was nearby and not unreasonable. There were restaurants nearby for dinner. The staff who assisted me also spoke some English.

Although not impossible, the parking instructions could have been simpler, clearer. I live in Japan, so it was fine for me, but I found the signs and pop-cards in the restaurant were written in small hard-to-read print. If this inn gets other foreign guests, the English should be almost the same size as the Japanese.

Have stayed at hotel many times and have not been disappointed with room or staff. Everything very clean and staff try very hard to help

Our luggage could not be stored for a few days while we visited other cities. This was an inconvenience for us especially as we were coming back to stay at hotel in between visits

The room is spacious and clean. The mattress is good, feel comfortable. Bathroom is big too. Hotel staffs are friendly and helpful, they do their best to serve us. Really like it.

The air conditioner is centrally controlled, so we can't adjust the temperature we want. Personally feel hot inside the room although the weather was cold there. So we choose to open the window and sleep at night.

Good location near to Lake Biwa. Suitable for budget travellers who do not wish to splurge on a stay overlooking the lake as this hotel is just beside JR Seta station which is convenient for travelling to places of interests at the lake. The hotel room was very clean. Breakfast was sufficient.

Staff were very friendly and kept my bag for me while I went traveling around the city. They even upgraded my room to a twin (which has never happened to me before) so I got to enjoy a larger room. Beds were comfy, complimentary water was provided. Even the VOD was free (this is usually a paid service, so was a nice surprise). Hotel is also located a stone's throw away from the local station, and has a convenience store right next door.

Toilet and shower look rather dated and could use some renovating

Location is very nice as it is just opposite the station. I was given a quiet room as requested with a good view as a bonus. But other rooms may face some buildings. The hotel is near a good supermarket so it’s easy to get some quick meals or if you need something urgent. Good laundry facility on the 3rd floor as the cost is reasonable and it is easy to use. The receptionists are very helpful and caring despite their limited English. There’s a pharmacy just next to the hotel which is important when Covid is still around.

The name Biwako as the hotel name is a bit misleading as it is quite long time to reach the Biwako Museum. I need to take a train and a bus to get there.

The hotel is only 100 meters from Seta station. the staffs are very friendly & helpful. i ask the supervisor to make a reservation for dinner & the supervisor voluntarily brought us personally to the restraurant, Tell the owner we don’t speak Japanese & explain to us how to order. their housekeeping fid a very good job in keeping the room sparkling clean. they deserve more than the maximum stars allowable.

Quite far from Kyoto city.
