The stay was the perfect balance of traditional and modern design elements that make for a peaceful and tranquil environment. Our stay here was very refreshing and relaxing amidst a busy trip. The private onsen and small garden area were a really nice touch as well. The surroundings were quiet and not too far from a train station, which was convenient for going to and from. We only wish we could have stayed longer!!

It would be convenient to have a trash can in the kitchenette area, in addition to the ones in the bathrooms. A pamphlet at the stay or online would have been helpful for operating the bamboo water feature in the garden, too - though we did figure it out without that!

I loved it so much (I traveled with my two adults children - 3 together) The 2 bathroom and the amazing little japan garden with bathtub was really perfect for us. If you would like to feel the japaniese style living in a spaceous comfort, than it is your ideal accomodation. The Nescafe coffee machine is a great plus for me.

Be careful with the steps (especially the small ones on the black color floor). I had some trips over them.

Beautiful space with a small garden and outside jacuzzi. Very close to train, subway station, and the Nijo Castle. Traditional Japanese setting, minimalist setup.

We specifically booked the place to experience the Japanese room setting, so there is floor seating and sleeping (No chairs). If you are not used to the setting, it might be a bit uncomfortable for some family members.

Even though Google maps says 7 minutes, if you take the short cut it takes about 3-4 minutes to walk to the property. The property is quite beautiful, it's in a quiet neighborhood and close to 7/11 too! The futons are comfortable and clean!

I feel like there's a tradeoff between aesthetics for usability. We became increasingly confused by small inconveniences, like: there's no towel rack in the washrooms? there's no light for the outdoor bath?? there's a stove but no pot? But again, they're so small. We would've loved for the owners to give us more instructions, e.g.: on how to sort garbage, what we need to do before we leave, etc. We wanted to help but had no idea what we were doing.

Very beautiful Japanese style house in a good location near both train station and subway. The host had communicated the key to house in advance and even provided complimentary sake and water! The private bath is heat-able although barely big enough for two adults.

The house did have a kitchen but no pots/pans. Be sure to keep that in mind if you want to cook at the house.

Comfy and cozy. This place is exactly same as per photos. The tub outside of the house and dyson hairdryer are plus points. I went to so many hotels before and this is the first that provided kid size toothbrush for my kid. So thoughtful. They would also answered my enquiries promptly. Overall I am satisfied with the stay. Thank you so much.

There's no housekeeping service. But it's not a big issue as we can just throw the rubbish outside of the house once the bin is full.

The place is very nice and looks just like the pictures. The futon and pillows are very soft and comfortable. The facilities are great and clean.

The place is more on the expensive side. Don't know where is the heater for the second floor. There are no convenience stores nearby the place.

The interior is well designed, traditional but yet modern. The outside bath was very enjoyable, providing a romantic atmosphere. The other amenities such as the laundry and boiled water were useful. We loved the stay here as it envoked a tradional tatami style Japanese house. We can't recommend TabiTabi enough!

The pillow was too soft and there were no extras to use. The bathroom can use a few extra hangers.

Free drinks in the property, very easy to check in, good location and beautiful, traditionally Japanese interior design. Bath was incredible!

The air con remote is in Japanese so we struggled to use it properly. When we woke up, it was very cold in the property (but this was user error).

gorgeous place to stay, meticulously maintained and modernized yet traditional Japanese at the same time. comes with a kitchenette two bathrooms and two showers. 6 mins from the train station. 5 mins from a mall and activity center.

the beds, though all of Japan seemingly doesn’t have much of any mattresses. The beds were like 1” thick mattress pads.
