We liked everything. From the design, location to staff and service. It's a remarkable place with a lovely and positive soul. There is love in every detail of the house and service. Our host was fun and easy to talk to and he really took his time to make us feel at home and talk about Japan and Japanese culture. Something we appreciated. The food was also amazing. Local and traditional. Prepared with the same love and attention. The location also offered a small coffee place which serves excellent coffee. The only reason we where hestistating to score it a 10 is because perhaps people would distrust our enthusiasm. things can't be a 10 can they? Well they can. It's a great place... go and visit.

Everything was exceptionally good!

We absolutely loved this place. The host and staff are so friendly and made us feel very welcome. The house itself is lovely, an old renovated farm house, with plenty of space and a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. There is a small independent cafe attached which is not to be missed - amazing coffee and, again, the owner is just lovely. I would recommend traveling by car but the roads are easy to navigate, there is good parking and so much to do in the area (from hiking to canyoning and kayaking; and larger cities such as Matsuyama, and slightly further, Kochi, are not too far away - we even went into town by car one evening for the famous Dogo Onsen). All in all, not to be missed!

I'd recommend traveling by car as it will make access easier but will also open up the surrounding area and everything these lovely mountains have to offer.

It's location at the country side of a mountain, which already has great view while driving up. The host is very friendly and can speak great English. Love the room and the food being served.

At the mid night going to the toilet would be a bit cold in the autumn and winter.

Outstanding service in a gorgeous traditional house, food was homemade and delicious. Congratulation to the chef, our familly had a delightful stay. Highly recommended!

Bathroom clean, tatamis in good condition. However futons too thin. Some of the general walkway flooring needs a scrub.

Very stylish and well renovated 130 years old house. Excellent for a group or a family. The host is very friendly and helps wherever he can. We felt very much at home.

The host was very generous and cooked diner for us, as it appears the message we provided to booking.com did not get through.

Warm welcoming and food is excellent. The house is beautiful close to rice fields and waterfall, in a small village.
