Loved the yukata rental and the ability to book private onsens. Shuttle buses to the main onsen area was great too.

The property smelled pretty bad when moving from my floor to the main floor or 2nd floor. This is because of the smoking room being available near the second and main floor. It smelled really awful some times, like stale ammonia. Really unpleasant for such a pricey establishment. Also the beds were very uncomfortable, to the point that i would wake up feeling worse the next morning after a relaxing onsen the night before. Wish the amount of time for booking onsen privately wasnt stuck in 45 minute increments.

Great onzen hotel near the famous Dogo Hot Spring area. Don't be fooled by the non-descript outside, the inside of the hotel is wonderful. Great traditional Japanese rooks. Super public and private onzen baths. This is really the reason for staying here. Just spectacular. Check in was easy (with Google translator) and parking very easy and convenient. Paid extra for private onzen - not needed, but still well worth it. Had a great time. Matsuyama and Dogo are not touristy, but well worth it. Not many tourists!

Wonderful place, with plenty of facilities and features available such as private onsen, footbaths, gift stores, nightly events, and a chill-out space with free drinks and movies. Large rooms and very comfortable beds. A short walk from the city's attractions, with frequent shuttle buses to them as well (a lifesaver when it suddenly started raining!). A very relaxing stay.

The front desk seemed puzzled about booking a private onsen timeslot for us, despite it being listed as an option in the room's information packet. Not sure what was up with that, but it got sorted out eventually.

I can't say enough good things about the location! Gorgeous small town, great view out the window, the staff goes above and beyond if you need anything. We rented the Japanese style room and while I found the sleeping pad a bit too hard my wife slept fine! We rented one of their private onsens and it was amazing! The breakfast buffet was also great.

The bed mat was hard to sleep on as a side sleeper, just too thin. Take that complaint with caution though, I just am used to a very plush bed... My wife slept just fine so /shrug

Very nice hotel and onsen, great location for Dogo Onsen exploration and not too far from Matsuyama Castle and station.

My only complaint is a small gripe about the towels, 1 towel was offered and it was to be used for the shower as well as the onsens, and (maybe I misunderstood) to my understanding another towel was an extra payment. So it wasn't ideal for showering and onsen use.

the location was superb and the hotel shuttle was fantastic. there was a hotel guest room available next to the train and tram stop so you could rest from travelling before taking the hotel shuttle to the hotel. amazing service. I was able to forward my bags to tokyo from this hotel. the gift shop was great too. overall i loved this hotel. the onsen was fabulous as well.

the beds themselves were a bit hard for my liking but other than that I have no complaints at all.

Staff was great! My family and I are primarily english speaking so we used a lot of google translate to communicate with staff. They were very patient with us and helped us achieve what we wanted to do! I want to come back next time

The location is great and the service is impeccable. The outdoor hot baths are quite amazing - at night the view of the moon from the hot bath was spectacular

Nothing. The building is not beautiful, but everything works and the facilities are excellent.

A very nice experience, with comfortable rooms, a very good onsen and perfect service. We really enjoyed our stay. And our children really enjoyed the frozen drinks machine ;-)

Fantastic Onsen, large room with excellent Aircon, good location close to Dogo centre. You even get free slush puppies.
