Some of the staff were really friendly this trip, especially during the typhoon that hit while I was there. She asked me what brought me to Mito and where I was planning to go, and we talked a little while she worked. I really appreciated the conversation.

It was a little difficult to understand when I wasn’t at the hotel where to put trash and used towels. The first day I stayed in my hotel the first day so I was able to do some of it, but the second day I was outside of the hotel all day and came back to a full trash can, just as I had left it.

Loved that it had washers and dryers. Loved that it offered breakfast, and price was good.

Bed was uncomfortable, only one pillow per person and it was uncomfortable. It was difficult for a non-Japanese-speaking person to navigate this hotel, especially the breakfast area. All other hotels we stayed at in Japan offered information in English and Japanese.

An excellent example of high-quality services. It has clean rooms, everything is functional, and a beautiful river view. I was staying here during the Mito festival, and I was happy I booked my accommodation on the other side of the station, which separated the lively atmosphere of the festival from my resting space.

Breakfast was good, but tables were limited. Luckily, the table in the room was big enough to have my breakfast there, so I have nothing to complain about.

Wi-Fi was constantly breaking off (it was fast when it was working), also travelers be wary of the local version of the pillow and hard mattress

Breakfast was somewhat limited compared to some other Toyoko inns. A bit of a walk from the station, especially if you have luggage to carry.

Staff is very kind and the hotel is by the river and close to a park where you can enjoy sakura during a walk.

Economy room is really small, it was hard to open my hard case suitcase. The breakfast was okayish (probably fine for the room price).

The hotel was so much better than I expected. The location is beautiful, the staff are very friendly and the rooms are amazing.
