Very big space in the room which has a lake view. I am usually sceptical of buffet dinners, but the one at Shion was amazing - get the beef/steak which is cooked on the spot! There is also a washer (free but pay for detergent) and dryer (not free) available in the basement.

Beautiful quiet location by the lake easy to get to from Morioka. Very clean well maintained facilities including several beautiful onsens. The staff was kind and accommodating despite my very limited Japanese language understanding. I loved the view of the lake and Mount Iwate from my room.

Large lake-view room. Our fourth stay at this hotel and it didn't disappoint. Good food and you can hire a private onsen. It's a lovely relaxing place to stay.

The hotel is huge, lobby area is grand! It's right in front of Gosho Lake and Iwate Mountain, a perfect view from you room. Onsen is really good, as well as the free skincare. The staffs are all nice. We are also very lucky to see a free night show of Iwate Ken's traditional dance :)

The place is a bit isolated, no restaurants or attractions nearby. But if your are in for a relaxing stay, away from the stressful city, thats the place to be.

Food options were a bit limited, either the expensive dinner, or a cheap restaurant inside the hotel but they only have noodles - soba/ramen

I enjoyed the Onsen and meals.

The location from Morioka JR station was a bit far and I had to take a taxi which cost ¥4500. There is bus 28 that takes you there from the station for ¥220 if you can make the schedule. i returned to the station via bus.

Amazing staff were really helpful and friendly. The room and hotel were clean and very spacious. Overall a really amazing experience.

The location was a little tricky without a car, but the staff were very accommodating in arranging taxi's.

Had a great stay with 3 major baths for their onsen experience. Was able to experience all 3 with the one night stay and 2 meals. Was able to reserve a shuttle ride from/to Morioka Station
