Staff are nice and helpful

Take a bit long time to get there, around one hour from the station by local bus, it would be better if you drive, but it’s worth to get there and have nice onsen day

This is a somewhat impersonal and overall unremarkable hotel. The kind which has no faults on the one hand but does not "shine" in any way, on the other hand. The place was a bit crowded during our stay, therefore the dining area was rather busy during the opening hour and the onsen was busy as well. The hot spring is rich in sulfur and one must be prepared to smell the infamous smell of rotten eggs (due to hydrogen sulfide, H2S).

The location was very good and the staff is very kind and considerate. The depth of the Onsen was precisely calculated to be comfortable for the guest. The room was wide with a good Smart Tv where you can watch Netflix, and the charger cable was included (USB-C, micro usb and Lighting cable). And finally, the dinner and breakfast buffet: both delicious and with a great variety of food.

Only one thing we don’t like. The shower room is common, not private. But it wasn’t a big problem.

Location, facilities, Onsen

Onsen is great, buffet meals with lots of selections and fresh.

Room a bit run down looking, corridor a little dinghy. Room toilet is small and basic.

Clean, Big tatami room. Onsen onsite. Free ramen noodle for a late night snack is a surprise. About 15 minutes drive from the Chuzenji lake.

Clean , spacious and the food is always good for our 2 days stay

the property is simple and the food average. compared to what we paid it did not seem ok. when we asked to extend our check out by 30min due to urgent matters (my friend is a journalist and had to cover a public crisis) staff said it is not their matter. we were asked to pay an up-charge. This would be ok, but the way they confronted us lacked empathy.

Breakfast and dinner is very good, The onsen is good too. Hotel is near the lake, just acroos the road, you can see the very good view.

The room has no bath or shower, it has only toilet, we have to shower in onsen room.

Lake was beautiful, rooms had nice atmosphere and balcony

Shoes could have been bigger and overall look a bit more rustic to match the area
