Very reasonable price with cleanest condition, good facilities and nice hosts. The vibe makes me feel like living at my grandmother’s house. I will come here to stay next time.

We liked that this property was close to the sea and within 1.5 hours of Mount Fuji.

There were no meals available at the property and quite a distance to walk on very, very narrow footpaths to find a restaurant. The owner, when asked about the location of restaurants, just pointed in one direction and said 'go that way'. He really should prepare a paper, describing a few restaurants and explaining how far away they were, hours of opening and how to get to them. The price charged was good (fair/cheap), but upon arrival we found signs saying that the use of a towel costs more Yen, per towel and the use of rubbish bins (leaving one's wrappers/empty water bottles etc!) costs extra. This was a great shame, as a traveller/visitor expects such facilities and of course pays for them within the given price of the lodging. This owner should just include some extra Yen in his listed price, end of story.

The rooms and facilities were clean, the garden was nice and it is very close to the shore.

There were obvious problems (shower room had no lock, cockroaches in the room, useless wifi connection) but my main disappointment was how they grabbed any opportunity to make us pay more. We booked the barbecue, which cost an extra 2000 yen, but we were only provided with coal and they made us buy paper plates and cups, they did not even provide a chopping board. After cooking, we saw we had to dispose of our trash, otherwise, we would have had to pay an extra 500 yen again! Bicycle rental was another 1000 yen, and you have to pay for even the most basic amenities like towels, and the kitchen has nothing in it (in case you wanted to cook), other than overpriced drinks in the fridge to buy. I was very disappointed by that lack of hospitality, which I never experienced in Japan before, not even in way cheaper accommodations. The location is also very inconvenient, buses stop running around 21:00 and a taxi costs over 2000 yen from the station.

description said private bathroom but it wasn’t. bathroom was shared. the shower on balcony didn’t have curtains till the second day so it was not private. roach in hall. description before booking says nothing about towels costing money
