The apartment was in the woods it was very comfortable. There were wild squirrels near our cabin. We also enjoyed the breakfast very much, it was delicately prepared by the ladies in the kitchen. We experience much hospitality from these ladies. The ponies at the main area kept the children very much entertained. They also enjoyed the mini playground. The highlight of the stay was the onsen, just a 5 mins drive away which was also included in the price. We also signed up for the dinner which turned out to be the biggest spread we have ever seen in our lives. Thanks for the amazing time.

The insects that came with nature.

- The staff were extremely friendly and helpful - the breakfast staff made friends with my kids and helped show us around, and the animal farm staff were great with young children. - The onsite facilities were excellent for families - animal experiences, fantastic onsen, everything with easy access. - The cottage was fully equipped, a good size, a good heating system (we stayed in March), wifi, TV with streaming services etc.

I had an issue with the booking.com price and property price not matching. I appreciate this wasn’t the property’s fault but just be aware to check it. I would add that considering how above and beyond the staff went here, it was worth it in any case.

Loves the Spa

The tent toilets were smelly and it looked like one toilet leaked. The tent had gaps around the zips which let bugs in.

The tent was nice and the decor was pretty. It certainly makes for pretty pictures. The beds were very comfortable and there was ample extra bedding if we got cold. The lanterns provided were awesome, I am looking into getting us some of our own, they were that cool. The seating inside was the world's most comfortable hanging egg chair, it was both cute and comfy. They provided charcoal for the grill or a portable propane grill (no propane included though) so we could cook our supper even without the dinner package. They provided paper plates, cups, bowls, cutlery etc. Along with a knife, cutting board, fire starter, matches, and fire gloves. There were several grills to choose from, two at our site and a green egg type in the middle of the grounds for everyone to use. The grills were clean and easy to use. They provided a cooler, prep table area, and garbage cans, which was convenient. Since it was rainy, we don't get to use it much, but they had a hammock set up outside, which was another nice touch. They did try to give a lot of English translations in the guide, which was nice for my husband since he can't read Japanese. Breakfast was really delicious! They clearly did put some thought into the amenities, and the ones provided were good, clean, and well organized.

There was no firewood provided to heat the inside of the tent (stove provided though) and the office closes at 8pm, and there was no way to buy it if you realized you would need it later in the evening. There are no showers or bathing facilities, and the coupons provided for the spa down the street were useless because they were openly discriminatory against people with tattoos and so my husband was unable to bathe (and I refuse to bathe at places that openly discriminate)--none of this was made clear ahead of time or we would have taken a different approach or perhaps not booked this stay. They also didn't communicate that it was a discriminatory spa when they gave me the coupons or I would not have subjected my husband to a place where he would be treated so poorly and we would have skipped the experience of going just to get turned away. They keep ponies on the premises for absolutely no reason other than for people to feed them carrots from 9-9:30 each day. They have a small dirt pen and are dirty and depressed, it was awful to witness and really further dampened the experience. Speaking of damp, it was a rainy (drizzle) morning and when we woke up the air was so damp in the tent that the pages of the book I brought had curled. Perhaps if we had had access to firewood for the evening it wouldn't have gotten quite so damp... The table for eating at was a bit too large to allow the hammock to also fit under the tent so we couldn't really use the hammock. There was not electricity provided at the campsites, though with the lawn trimming robot and the string lights in the center of the grounds, there was certainly electricity around. I'm okay with an unplugged approach but that is something that I expect more from primitive camping than from glamping, and so it should have been communicated clearly in the booking page. No pot, pan, spatula or chopsticks provided in the cooking amenities.
