I would like to say thank you to all of your staff! We were very happy and enjoyed our stay a lot! All of your staff are nice and friendly, I love to see their smile 😊 which made us happy for whole day!! They also prepared a high chair for my 7months old baby,which surprised me the most . I have already recommended your hotel to my friends who will travel to Japan. We will definitely stay at your hotel again!

no lift and no shower at room. but we went to Onsen so it’s ok.

The included breakfast and dinner was a delicious, visually amazing traditional Japanese spread. This place is a must for anyone wishing to get the authentic ryokan experience, though you have to be willing to step out of your comfort zone a bit to wear the provided yukata and go to the public bath. Easy transit to Kyoto means you can stay outside the city on your visit.

The hotel is set back a ways from the road, so the place could use better signage telling you where to go (especially at night). Also, there was no shower in our room because guests are encouraged to use the public bath, so if you’re not so keen on getting naked in public, you’re out of luck for a wash.

Real way of Japanese life with an Onsen for bathroom with Japanese people, living like them. Eating exactly like them. Wearing the yukata. The shuttle to go to the station, the vintage of the hotel, the free power plate. I want to go back.

I didn’t like that I had to go away so soon 😭. If I should knew, I wouldn’t take a flat in Osaka. I should stay in this hotel, taking shuttle and train to go everywhere. Komolebi, my daughter and I love you 🥰

everything was perfect,how they welcome you and explain the facilities,everyone was very kind and accomodating (my friend is vegetarian and they change the menu accordingly) the food was delicious,the room was clean,spacious and the futon super comfy. With an additional charge (but totally worth it) it's possible to use the near hotel's baths,that have open air baths at different floor (the 8th and 11th are amazing!) I would totally come back if I can. Thanks so much for an amazing experience!

Free shuttle bus service with scheduled timetables. Friendly staff; food and service are superb! A relaxing place more for adults.

Location is not near to kyoto station and need to take their local line. Room is traditional Japanese so don't expect too much on comfort but basic amenities are available.

The staff was really excellent … they weee so kind and helpful … The food was really good too both breakfast and dinner… The room was great! And a fantastic view It was a excellent stay!

Had to pay to go to sister ryokan and it was very crowded However its a small point

It was very nice. Rooms were extremely spacious. Food was delicious. Staff was very friendly. Onsen in the adjacent hotel is excellent and worth visiting, for a small fee.

Free shuttle service at Ogoto station once arrive. An free phone to call the Onsen to pick up at the station. Total of 6 onsens to use.

Shuttle pick up time is after 1:30pm only.

The onsens of the hotel next door that we were allowed to use were amazing Dinner & breakfast japanese style, were delicious & very authentic I liked the japanese style rooms and details such as yukatas provided by the hotel

The onsen of the hotel was a bit worn out and the room had some dust

It has a very retro feels of the late 80 and early 90 infrastructure. The room was a fusion of old and new and it really shows. Very authentic Japanese experience in a field of other competitive hotels around Lake Biwa area
