Pros: It’s right next to the train station and bus depot. You can walk to the station under cover the whole way, which is great if it’s raining. Only a few minutes’ walk from large Aeon supermarket, and there are lots of places to eat nearby. Very good breakfast at the hotel. Nice public bath, with a very nice, albeit small rotemburo. Excellent value for the money. Cons: Noisy. It’s an older APA hotel, so the windows don’t keep out the noise that well, and you can hear trains pretty clearly. Also, because it’s older, it’s a little worse for wear and lacks some of the things that are standard in other APA hotels, like space under the bed for luggage.

Of course, the location of the hotel was excellent and even in the rain, we were well protected from the elements. We especially liked the knowledge and assistance of the staff as we asked about the APA Membership plan and how to access and account. The staff in Takasaki went out of their way to provide excellent service!

The hotel is a bit dated and that is understandable. However, I didn't like the ledge or "lip" by the bathroom door as it made it conducive to tripping on the way out.

This was my first time staying at an APA Hotel so I didn't know what to expect. I'm happy to say that all of my expectations were exceeded. The rooms were meticulously cleaned, the elevators were fast, there was plenty of free entertainment on the tv in the room, and best of all there was a public onsen in addition to the private in-room shower. The staff were also very helpful and accommodating with my delayed check-in (my flight was late so I arrived the next day). All of this was for a very reasonable price and practically attached to the train station.

The rooms are small and seem designed for business travelers, so you may be short on floor space if you bring lots of luggage. This was not a problem for me, but I want to make sure other guests are not surprised.

We loved the bath facilities, and the closeness to the train. The restaurant on the main floor was convenient as well. We love apa hotels for their consistency and cleanliness. The front staff were lovely and tried hard with us to communicate with our awful amount of Japanese.

The room was quite cramped for a couple, we are used to Japanese rooms and it was still small, even compared to other apa hotels. Fine for single occupancy.

Apa never disappoints! However, I do wish there were more parking options, or at least validated parking for the nearby lots. The location is perfect, though. Walking distance to OPA and the station is unbeatable. The rooms are VERY tiny! But I expected as much. Perfect if traveling alone and by train.

I can't imagine travelling in Japan if there was no APA Hotel. I always stay at APA because of its proximity to the train station. Also, it is difficult to find a hotel with a hot spring bath for price as low as APA's. Best deal always.

The dinning area was a bit cramped. You really need to move with care and caution.

Standard typically efficient APA Hotel. Next to the Station. A bit of street noise/ music can be heard but nothing really to be bothered about, after all it is a central location. Had my luggage delivered by Yamato from Yamagata. Hotel staff were very professional in keeping it for me .

Location, really near the station and no need to cross any intersection since it is connected via foot path. Good nearby places to eat.has communal bath. Check in and check out were quick. Staff were friendly and explain everything that is happening eg cleaning schedule, aircon maintenance . Has option to pay for breakfast

I liked the location since it’s basically right next to the train station which facilitates all transportation. The hotel also had an onsen.

The room was very narrow, the only way to fully open my bag was putting it on the bed.

We stayed in the APA Hotels all over Japan, seems like a good price for the quality you get. Always clean room, good heating system, some small cosmetics and possibility to eat in the hotel (which we did not use). Overall we were always content with the service.
