Loved that is was very clean, organised, clear and modern

It was a shame there was no real kichen, it would have been good with some proper kitchen facilities, like a bowl, couple of glasses, cutlery or chop sticks to facilitate the use of making a simple dish bought from a Conbini or supermarket. This is my only remark for improvement, it was otherwise a fantastic and very nice stay. If you intend on making something to eat, then bring whatever you may need for that.

I was in a small room with two beds but no roommate came. The actual "main" branch where the staff work and you check in is not the same as where I stayed. Mine was not staffed but about 1 minute on foot from the main branch. The place looked new, clean and quite stylish. It fit the vibe of the new, young entrepreneurs who want to revitalize small towns by making them more in their image. The building I stayed at had a small lounge shared by the people living there and while it had nice, brand new appliances, they had no real utensils or cups or anything like that. The main branch has a bar/café attached to it which is kind of why I missed it the first time I rode in front looking for my check in spot. The food there was very good and featured game meat - deer and boar to be precise. The staff were very friendly. Not sure about the owner's English as I spoke to him in Japanese.

The place I stayed at felt a little deserted and empty. I guess it's the nature of a place like Ikeda-cho. Not sure what to say otherwise. The area is a little quiet and everything closes early, but that's not the hostel's fault.

Everything was clean, including the shared facilities, and easy to use. The staff at very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant at the main location where you also check in has good food.

The wifi was sometimes a bit patchy, but overall good. The microwave in the common area was a bit difficult to understand how to use, but that could be because everything is in Japanese. Google Lense/Translate can only help a bit.

Very clean and good atmosphere. We were alone most of the time , but for us that was fine :) good facilities and we looooved the Onsen next door. It is perfect location if you wanna explore the surrounding landscape with sites such as iya valley and aragami factory ! Also staff was super friendly and helped us with anything .

We loved it. There we no plates or cutlery for food, but we found a way.

The hostel looks brand new. It's super clean and the rooms are confortable. It would be nice to have a minimum of tableware in the small kitchen but besides that everything was good.

Great stay. Modern and comfortable private room with plenty of clean showers and bathrooms that make you forget the space is shared. The restaurant where you check in is also has delicious meals.
