My stay here was incredible. The room was great and clean. The main reason i’m leaving a review is because of how helpful the staff were. I asked about sending a parcel back to the UK as we’d purchased too many things so we needed to post it back. Immediately all three of the staff were on it trying to find all information and quotes on this. The hotel even sold boxes for 200 yen, and Oishi (one of the staff) taped it all up for us and helped us pack it with packing paper as well. Amazing service. Oishi was amazing and was the main person helping us on our mission to send the parcel back to the UK. All the staff spoke excellent English too.

Modern APA hotel experience. Clean rooms, lots of quality amenities, all the stuff you need to spend the night. The room was quiet with the ability to store your suitcases under the bed. Ikebukuro is a great place to stay. North of the JR station there's a red light district with a lot of bars, pubs and night entertainment. South of it there's Sunshine city with a lot of arcades and anime shops. The Ikebukuro station gets you pretty much all around Tokyo in 30 minutes, thanks to the Yamanote line and multiple metro lines.

There is only one washing machine and one dryer. Luckily we squeezed in an empty timeslot, but there are a few coin laundry places around. The bed was a bit too soft, but that's honestly nitpicking on my part.

Reasonable price, good location, very good staff.

Overall, APA hotels 1) Do not have individually controlled Heating and cooling. In the winter the rooms are too cold and you need to buy and use a small space heaters to stay warm, 2) Ice is not available in all hotels. In Ikebukuro it is; Shibuya there is no ice. Ikebukuro has ice for 100 yen at the bar. Undersize the elevators; 3) The vending machines do not always have a coffee with cream or a Latte. 3) The elevators are undersized so it usually takes extra time, especially during check out time.

The location was great because it was a 5 minute walk from the West Exit of Ikebukuro station. It was also quite close to a lot of restaurants so coming home late was a not too hectic because you don't have to worry about food. The staff were pretty nice too. I had an issue with my luggage but they did their best to make sure that they aren't releasing luggage to just anyone so good work on security :)

None, it was well worth your money. Can't complain for how cheap it was.

Great location. Near Ikebukuro station. Notable that area is surrounded by bars / host clubs at night so you'll see a lot of them around at night. They don't really bother you if you look like a foreigner. Super close to a 24 hour Don Quijote so you can do your late or early morning shopping there. A convenience store around every street so not going to get hungry any time soon.

Near Ikebukuro station. Nearest exit are those in West North. However, only stairs. Escalators can be found around West Central and West South exits. Complete necessities - Japanese-style robe, towel, toothbrush/toothpaste, liquid soap/shampoo, razor

In the unit I stayed in, the aircon looked dirty. It had black marks around the openings. Good thing it was autumn so I did not need cooling or warming Also, there was only 1 elevator.

Great location, close to train station and tons of great restaurants/bars around the hotel. Close to the underpass of the train station so you can get to the East side of Ikebukero easily. Staff were really friendly and the room was clean

pillows on the bed were so flat. Only 1 lift too which I think was only a tiny issue as I was on the top floor but mostly fine.

The location is okey. We have a great time, the staff are all good. Although the room is small but it's clean and the housekeeper is good too.we will come back again. Thank you for the Welcoming of your good staff.

The hospitality of the personal. We had a problem with the room we got, and we are thankful for the way we were treated with this problem.

The brakfast is a mistake: to offer high quality ramen is not a good strategy. In the APA Hotel at Ueno there was a simple japanese style breakfast what is more meaningful and had a reasonable price. Here we missed such an option.

Hotel is located near the station, staff is friendly and prices are quite good compared to other hotels nearby. This is typical standard hotel for Japanese conditions, rooms are rather small, but generally clean and with everything you can need.

Some places in the bathroom were not as clean as on my previous visit.
