The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making your stay feel warm and accommodating. They offer a convenient pick-up service from the bus terminal and are happy to drive you wherever you need to go—be it a convenience store, a slope, or anywhere around the city. All communication was handled using Google Translate, and we only have positive things to say about our experience. Although the hotel itself may appear a bit old, the rooms are clean, cozy, and dust-free. The hotel is located right in front of a slope, and within a 2-minute walk, there’s an amazing Korean restaurant. While you can’t buy a ski pass directly at the hotel, there’s a convenient workaround: from the hotel’s slope, you can ski or snowboard for free down to the Uenodai slope, where ski passes are available for purchase. Overall, the combination of attentive staff, cleanliness, and great location makes this a fantastic choice for a skiing or snowboarding trip!

A bit cold shower room and same breakfast everyday.

The hotel is right beside a ski lift so it was very convenient for my snowboarders. The man running the place was always around to help us if we had questions and he gave us free rides around town. The convenience of him giving us rides to town and picking us up made all the difference!

The futon beds were pretty terrible. Very thin and we felt like we were just on the floor. I read somewhere that they were reopening this place so maybe they'll get around to replacing the futons. We had to rent towels for the shower and there wasn't any soap.

Sunrise lift #29 is right outside so it's super convenient to reach the slopes. I could send my snowboard ahead of time and the staff had it ready for me when I arrived. They will drive you anywhere: rental shop, main resort lodge, restaurants, bathhouse, bus station, etc. Our room was big enough for 4 people to sleep in and the downstairs lounge area has a TV, couches, big tables, and drink vending machine if you want to hang out in a bigger space. The toilets were always clean.

Facilities are old so those with dust allergies might struggle a little bit. The shower area seems like nobody uses it so it's quite dirty. We opted for the hot springs nearby because of this (~8min walk or the staff will drive you). The wifi didn't work but we didn't need it anyway. These were minor things for me that didn't affect my stay.

I like the morning view from my room.Though the property is on high altitude,staff will pick n drop you in the scheduled timings. This service was so helpful for us.

I suggest to maintain shower room with more amenities such as body wash and shampoo. Most of the people use onsen but there are times to just have a quick shower.

The staffs were too damn friendly and so much helpful!! They will accomocate and drive you to the nearest snowski or some place nearby zao. (drop by and pick up only). Much recommended staycation!! ❤️

The location is steep. But u have to remind the property/staff to pick you to the bus terminal of zao onsen.
