My introduction to The Oberoi Hotels at The Cecil was an absolute delight, largely due to the remarkable warmth and professionalism of the staff. I have rarely encountered such genuine courtesy. Our stay was incredibly relaxing and comfortable, with the team consistently going above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. I would especially like to recognize Swati, Raghav, Sujata, and Sahil, whose individual efforts truly made our stay memorable. Their keen eye for detail and personalized approach made us feel exceptionally welcome and completely at ease. GOOD DAY We had an extremely pleasant stay at your Hotel Cecil, Shimla, as usual. That is the exact reason why we come there repeatedly year after year. The hospitality at this Hotel is par excellence, each and every member of the staff is extremely courteous and they all went out of their way to make us comfortable, specially so because we had a 15 month old toddler in our family group. I have to make special mentions of some of the members of the staff: Chef Rajkumar as usual surpassed himself to meet all our food requirements and specially that of my toddler grand daughter. He is a great asset to your Hotel. One of the main reasons why we choose this hotel over the others in your area. Even Chef Rajeev did a great job. Ms. Navya at the Reception saw to it that all our needs are well taken care of, from smooth checkin to Room specifications. Ms. Nysha in the activity room was very gentel in handling my baby in the play area. Ms. Preeti who was serving us in the day at the restaurant is really perfect, even Sahil is very efficient. The housekeeping staff is also very efficient, special mention Ms. Arunima and Shahnawaz. Even Sarthak is good. So are Saksham and Suraj. Hoping to come back soon with family. Another fabulous Oberoi, stunning views from balcony, comfy bed/pillows, all amenities in room you would require. Service outstanding by all staff, caring and lovely, giving us a few treats to take home. Swimming pool a nice experience.. reception can arrange car with chauffeur to most places for day trip or few hours, they can also arrange packed lunch. Hotel manager came to our breakfast table introduced herself, had a quick chat.

No fluffy white towels, they were a little worn. Fruit in room required replacing.

Beautiful, boutique like, all wooden english interiors, warm & cozy. Our room had a balcony facing shimla valley, jakhu temple, hills & toy train track. Over all excellent property. Food was one of the best among all Oberoi properties I have stayed. Khudos to Sujata & her team. Hospitality was outstanding. Starting from GM Swati , Front office Manager Raghav & everyone in the hotel treated us as their personal guest.

Superb Infrastructure and very well managed, staff are very welcoming and are very empathetic. Akshay Pillai and the checkin staff was really great with kids helped to get around and checked upon us if we needed anything everytime they saw us

Ac vents are really away from the bed and rooms are very well heated…so if you can’t tolerate a little bit of hot atmosphere better speak to staff surely they will find a way for it

the hotel was beautiful but really it is the staff and service that make it so special. the check in takes place in your room, so no standing around waiting we found the staff incredibly helpful - they went above and beyond to help us. we wanted to take the toy train to kalka but didnt have tickets - the staff arranged it all for us, and even laid on a complementary car to take us to the station. truly an exceptional experience.

Welcome and care of all staff members. Room was charming, comfortable and had a beautiful view. Breakfast and dinner were superb. Good location for many of the sights and for exiting Shimla avoiding much of the central Shimla traffic.

The marble in the bathroom was freezing to walk on. The main foyer/ bar area were on the cold side. Christmas music in the restaurant at dinner time.

Most of all Ms Pema Chuzan at Front desk, who gave me a history booklet of Cecil's. Previous evening I was chatting with her about the pre-independence heritage Cecil is carrying and the next day as I was checking out, she made sure I have this booklet. This is hospitality through the ceiling!! Wow!! The entire front desk crew was outside to see us off.
