I was expecting the internet to be bad, but it worked well most of the time even in my room on the first floor. The room itself was spacious, neat and clean with a double bed, air-con, TV and en-suite bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. One of them spoke excellent English and in the morning showed me where the colectivos depart from to El Tajin. Everyone I spoke to earlier in the city denied there was a colectivo service to El Tajin, but it`s not true! The "station" is just hidden in an alley behind the Town Hall.

The bathroom was a bit worn and there was no hot water, but it is a cheap hotel plus the weather is hot in Papantla so I didn`t have an issue with this.

Fantastic location close to the Zocalo and a 5-minute walk from the ADO bus station. Clean, bright and comfortable bedroom with en-suite. The staff were fantastic - incredibly helpful and friendly. Good value for money.

The room was very hot (although there was an air con unit) and there was no wi-fi in the room.

Good cheap place to stay for visiting Tajin. Supermarkets nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Not many restaurants nearby, mostly street food. Aircon not working, but luckily we didn't need it. WiFi very weak on second floor. Hotel a little rundown, especially on the stairs and common areas.

Good location just below the cathedral and Benito Juarez mercado. Staff were also friendly, fortunately, given the worn, shabby state of the hotel. Internet is strong only in the lobby, where seating on hard wooden benches is possible.

The hotel is dismal, in desperate need of paint both in the hallway and bedroom, and removal of mold around the bathroom sink. The toilet had not been properly cleaned, nor was there a toilet brush. The large water bottle for guests was empty during the course of my stay.

El Tajin ruins are closed on Saturday and Sunday.

The location was convenient-2 blocks from the main plaza.The room was large and serviced daily.Taxis were available at the front door.

There was a very bad smell from the bedroom.The bathroom wasn't clean either with a strong smell of urine from the shower cubicle.The room and the ensuite really need to be given a proper cleaning...Sleep quality was very poor on my final night.
