Location is at center of large city and near transportation and shopping or eating if needed. Lots of information for travelers, and if you are depending on public transportation, this is a wonderful stay near city center. The place is quite for being central and near many restaurants and shopping plus public areas.

WiFi was very poor quality so I could not use it, safely or at most times, as it was not working and I even had a hacker attack warning that my security was able to hold away from my computer. Parking is not included, but is not expensive if you are traveling with a car.

The stay was exceptional, the service and owners attitude is above and beyond. We got exceptional care and understanding to our circumstances. Room was clean and situated at very central location of the town. At this rate for such very cenral location in peak of the season of the seummer ( the Aaugust ), do not get worry, with owners and their willigness to help you will not get lost, you will get ever best service. The Breakfast is exceptional, if you want to try real homemade Latgale brekafast with varity of choices, this is your home! They were making launches and foods for whole Daugavpils for years. The score of this hotel is unfair, the 9.0 and above is the reality. Thank you Saules Rati team for making our stay convinient and pleasent for 2.5 weeks. We stayed in two different rooms for our stay for 2.5 weeks, we got an exceptional treatment and way of making our stay with no stress. The whole expirience was above than positive on our stay 8.7 for this service ia the joke. My rate is at least 9.5. Hope you enjoy stay at this hotel!

You have to be crazy not to like anything about it.

I loved the building. The ceiling in the room was 4m tall if not more. It was spacious as well as the bathroom. The breakfast is prepared specially for each guest on arranged time, fresh and delicious. I liked the extra help when it was needed.

I wish there was a fridge in the room, but this usually is not important for me. This time it was really hot wearher and any food brought into room needed cooling. It's a tiny inconvenience.

Excellent location in the city center, on a quiet side street to the main pedestrian street. Breakfast was good, staff was friendly.

I had to move the TV cabinet to reach the wall socket and then it became obvious that nobody had moved the cabinet and cleaned UNDER it for quite a while. It is really a very minor objection because otherwise the room (and the hotel in general) was very decent and clean.

The room in the attic was cosy and comfortable, the host provided drinking water, tea and coffee. There is a nice armchair to watch TV and a small table. Comfortable shower. Location is convenient, close to the center

The host didn't inform me that I should order breakfast in advance (even though it was included in my room rate), so in the morning the breakfast place was dark and empty. Later I met a kitchen lady there and she cooked a dish for me. The carpet on the staircase and in the room is old and smelly

The hotel had a perfect location in the center of the town. The room was large and had a nice balcony. Daugava river upstream from Daugavpils offers a very scenic landscape. The Mark Rothko museum in the old fortress, is a must see when in town, regardless if you like expressionist art or not.

The personal did not understand English very well, but compensated it by being very nice.

The suite with balcony was really bright and spacious with two rooms. Air-conditioner worked well. Small fridge was useful. Hotel itself is very peaceful. Close to shops and cafes. Breakfast was made to order, simple but adequate.

Central location brings street noise, especially on weekends. Lounge room decor was quite bare.

Very centrally located. Spacious room and the bathroom. Good value for money. Feels like a family-run business. I don’t know how the property got its name, but it has a very local for the city Slavic feel. The property has had евроремонт.

Fantastic location, in city centre, in a quiet area. Free parking at the door. Friendly, helpful staff. For breakfast we ordered from the evening, from the menu. The pancakes and omlette were home-made, evoking nostalgia for the tastes of good Soviet kitchens. Large room, with a useful large work desk. I would stay there again.

Towels and bed linen are washed to grey, could be whiter and newer.

Hotel is located in the very heart of the town, walking distance to everything. Nevertheless, quiet. Comfortable clean room. Friendly staff. Good and stable internet.

Breakfast starts too late on weekends (9 am). Electric outlets are inconveniently located, no outlets near the bed and table
