Had a fantastic stay at this hotel. It was my very first time in Madagascar and did not know what to expect. The second me and my friends arrived Michael (hotel manager) was standing at the lobby with a warm welcome. From that point on he took care of everything, took us to the nicest restaurants in the city nicest bars, etc. He even set us up with an amazing driver to explore the rest of the country for 2 weeks. Additionally, his team was also great, any request for any item and his staff would literally run to the shop if the hotel did not have it themselves. If you are not familiar with the country this is the hotel that you absolutely need!

I've stayed at Brajas a few times when visiting Madagascar, I particularly like the decor & location. To add to that, this time the staff were exceptionally helpful - I needed to leave some luggage which I did and picked up on return to Tana, and they helped me to secure taxis and were attentive to other requests. There are kettles, fridges and utensils in the room & great lighting. Would stay again!

The wifi is hard to connect to, I knew this before staying so would recommend you using local restaurants/cafes if you need to connect and get information quickly. I stayed in two different rooms, a larger more expensive room which has a fantastic view of the city and a large bath - however - the one issue was that there was not a curtain/door so you need to take care when putting on the tape so it doesn't splash over the large bath. A very minor issue though, as all in all - was great. The floorboards in rooms above can also be a little squeky.

- Location (it's up the hill, you either take a taxi or taking the stairs to the Av. de L'Independance. At night you better take a taxi, around MGA 10'000) - friendly english speaking receptionist - breakfast included (coffee or tea, white bread, butter, jam, eggs, yoghurt and banana on request) - my room was at the backside of the buidling was very quiet. Front side you have a nice view from the 3rd floor but also the noise from the street - bahtroom with a showerdoor - seems to be no problem to bring a guest over night - free storage room

- common water problem, they don't have enough watertanks behind the building - wooden floor on the 3rd floor, creaks when ppl are walking to their rooms - some mold in the shower - no bahtroom door, might be not convenience if you have a guest

The key card doesn't work, was tried 3 times. No payment by card, no signal. Difficult english level and support to change money at the best rate or to explain coming with arguments. Slow movement in reaction or confusion about answers

it’s good , staff is friendly , cooperative

at night on upper floor , if some one walks in the corridor , it is very noisy and it disturbs the sleep

The proximity to other places in town. Also, the staff as well as the owner were very welcoming.

Quirky bohemian decor, exceptionally friendly and helpful owner and staff, fab location, great value for money. We booked it randomly first but will come back on our way out.
