At first honestly i did not like it because i expected something different, however, after staying there, i know why the review is so high. If you want to stay in a luxurious place with a lot of people and music, you can go other hotels because there are others, this place is so peaceful, you can swim in the ocean with no distractions. The owner is super nice and chill. It feels homey and the sleep there honestly was the BEST nap of my life. You can rent a motor for RM20/hour and snorkelling packages comes with the hotel. Super convenient.

I didn’t like that they said originally the transport cost from Tekek to Juara cost RM25 per person but the lady that drove us charged us more because the hotel hired transport service and we were supposed to pay at the hotel but the lady insisted that us and the other guests pay her not at the reception. I didn’t like that. It’s not about the money it was just annoying. This isn’t the hotel, but it could’ve been handled better by the hotel so that other guests wont be annoyed at the driver as we were.

Everything was perfect here! The personal is so helpful, the wooden house is comfortable, clean and cozy. Also the porch is perfect to stay outside while it's raining without getting wet. There are not mosquitos inside of the room and you have also a hook to put your own net if you want. The location is perfect, Juara is a beautiful place to spend your days if you want to know more about the village and enjoy the calm and the beautiful surroundings. And this house is on the middle of the beach, not far for anything, in 10minutes you can go to the other side of the last beach, watching monkeys, lots of butterflies, birds, flying foxes and much more on the way. Honestly, we have had here our best experience in Malaysia!

The host is very friendly and helpful. The Chalet is just in front of the sea- amazing view! Restaurants where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner are 1-5 min walking from the hotel. Air Conditioner is working well. Beach is perfect: white sand, clean, blue clear water. Good for kids and adults. Its peaceful and safe. Not many tourists.

We liked everything. Some little Things that could be improved : Maybe you can make a couple of hooks on the bathroom inner door for hanging clothes or towels. And a small shelf would be helpful to put toothbrush and some hygienic stuff.

We had a wonderful 3-day stay at Permai Chalet, Tioman. The hospitality was excellent the staff were very friendly and always ready to assist us throughout our stay. ✅ Front beach location perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sea ✅ Near a mosque very convenient for prayers ✅ Easy to find food many stalls and local eateries nearby One of the highlights was that the chalet gave our family a special price for snorkeling activities and transportation from the chalet to Kampung Tekek jetty. The driver was very friendly and informative, sharing interesting stories and local history about Tioman Island during the ride. Highly recommended for families looking for a comfortable, friendly, and well-located beachfront stay with a local touch.

Permai chalet is right on the beach with a beautiful view!!! The place is quiet and idyllic. They arrange transfer also (from Tekek it was 25RYM per person one way). There are some little shops nearby, but if you go from Tekek, -there you should buy what you need. There are some restaurants which accept credit cards (Bushman over 100RYM and Barat -without limit), but in the shops on Juara you can pay with cash only. The rooms are comfortable, it worths of the money. (but you could find bugs in the room..., as anywhere on this island) The room is basic, the bed is very comfortable (hard), and the room has kettle, fridge, terrace. You can choose programs (island trips, diving or turtle project visit, jungle track, etc.) This side of the island is much more beautiful than the western side. There are sandflys, but if you have repellent, there won't be a problem.

we stayed in this beautiful wooden chalet which directly overlooks the sea, it was very large, clean and the beds were comfortable. equipped with a veranda with an external fountain to clean your feet from the sand before entering and comfortable plastic chairs that could be taken onto the beach. there was also an outside table. the island is wonderful and the inhabitants friendly and kind. the Permai staff are always available, hospitable and kind. I absolutely recommend it!

I loved everything about it. It exceeded my expectations in all aspects. The hut is so cute & just in front of the beach which is insanely beautiful. It is sooooo clean & cozy. The bed is so damn comfortable. Its size is just nice, the bathroom is big as well! It is located near the waterfall, juara jetty, convenient stores & restaurants! The host was sooooo good, check in was so fast & smooth, he fetched us from tekek jetty on time & showed us our house & answered all our questions! He even has snorkelling & island hopping trips arranged. He & the people there are so friendly, kind & helpful, they really go out of their way to make your trip the best! I would really want to come back again! The cats around the island are soooo cute🥹🥹🥹🥹 really really enjoyed everything about the stay! Oh & you can also rent scooters to make it easier for you to get around!

There would be some loud chirping noises in the morning from the birds or something but other than that, i loved everything about it.

Location was fantastic right in front of the beach.Fridge in the room. Mini markets close by and nice places for food. The village has a great vibe. Good value. The staff were very kind and friendly.

It's expensive to get there by car.

I like the chalet location that is located in front of the beach. Very near to many cafes and eateries. Friendly villagers and environment. The facilities of the chalet are far more than what I expected. Great accommodation from the chalet owner. This is a mid-range chalet, good bedding, well maintained air conditioned and small fridge for your goods.

My kid dislike the Kluang that hangs at the top of the coconut tree in front of the chalet. A bit noisy, but it is in their nature. So embrace it people. Technically we love everything, I am pointing this out just for my son. :)

Such a wonderful location, open the doors and straight onto the beach. Super shallow and calm water at this pre monsoon time of the year which made for lots of fun on the sea. Chalet was secure and wonderful value for money with two comfortable large double beds. Aircon and bathroom all worked and ok . Not luxurious but great for us as a family of 4 on a budget. Great communication with our host who helped us organise an amazing snorkelling and island tour and taxis to the jetty. Really happy to stay on this beautiful island.

A little worn and no luxuries but such great value for the location. Also put on protection against sandflies . Not a problem just be prepared During the low season you need to find out when restaurants and shops are open as they close at different times. Host was really helpful with this.
