Waking up to the view of the ocean! It was an absolute pleasure to the eyes. The reception was kind enough to arrange for a boat transfer to the resort when we arrived earlier than the scheduled time. Wifi connection was good. You get to drink “Mountain Water” Prior to arrival, the reception responded to all our inquiries in timely manner. Pictures are true to the listing.

Food options in the restaurant was limited. Some were hit, some were a miss. On a busy day, especially on weekends the kitchen and crew struggled to meet demand. Phone was not working so sometimes we had to walk to reception for things we needed. Back of the resort, closer to the forest there are a lot rubbish thrown into the stream of river. The pollution is not pleasant to the eyes and affects the nature.

It is a amazing experience to stay at tunamaya resort..staffs are very friendly and helpful..from welcoming us during our arrival until we departed from the hotel..the resort is very serene and it is good place to go for some healing…plus we had wonderful time snorkelling at tioman island as it offers very magnificent corals and variant shades of fishes..overall tioman is a great place to take a break from hustle and bustle of city life while enjoying its nature and islands..😊😎

Guys, I kid you not they have the best beach throughout the entire island. So clear and so gorgeous, and I love that it isn't crowded with kids. I think the resort is really suitable for couples wanting a romantic and quiet getaway. Our breakfast was included so we didn't have to worry that much - we also ended up taking snorkeling trips two days in a row because the ocean is just gorgeous. We even got to hike to a waterfall which was gorgeous. In the ocean, we saw baby sharks, dolphins, and turtles and the boat drivers and tour guides were really friendly and kind. They even dived into the ocean with us which just shows they love the island. Even on the day it was raining on our snorkel trip, the visibility in the ocean is still I would say 90%. It's crazy the amount of ocean life you can see. I don't recommend this trip for elders as there is a lot of getting on and off speedboats which could be tiresome for them. There's also a lot of hiking.

Nothing! By the way, the staff are sooooo helpful. My husband and I actually accidentally missed our stop from the ferry but they helped to look at other options to get to the main jetty so they can pick is up and bring us back to the resort. We loved the whole team who are friendly and chatty and we can see how much they care about their guests. Thanks so much Tunamaya team! By the way, there is only one restaurant at the resort, so bear that in mind. We were able to have lunch at other areas of the island on our trips which was really nice, getting the chance to meet other locals and try different food. We bought snacks for night time to watch Netflix on the TV and it was the best, so relaxing.

- The staffs were very helpful and well spoken. - The chalet was nice and it has been cleaned everyday. - Mr Rashid and his team arranged our day trip , snorkelling and it was so good. he and his team were very helpful and helped made our trip enjoyable. - The monkeys was great :) - The walking trip which we did on our own to the local village and the waterfalls was great. beautiful place and the local at the village were so friendly and sociable.

- The breakfast didn't have variety of food to choose. Especially being a Malaysian, I know the taste well. But the breakfast buffet wasn't great at all. - Pool table is very old and the light on the ceiling not bright enough to play them game.

Choppy seas

We stayed 3 days 2 nights. Loved the ambience and the view was beyond our expectation! Simply amazing. We enjoyed our stay there. The view from our garden resort was also beautiful. The staff were friendly from every department. Thanks to Diana, Ika and Lynn for chatting and helping us out during the stay. The stay was quite short and beautiful, could've stayed longer. I would come again.

It would have been an excellent stay if there were more activities to discover. Secondly, the food and spa are overpriced. Not much varieties on the food menu. There was one part when the food came 45 minutes later. Most dishes which we ordered were salty. If management can try and improve based on the feedback given, it will be great for tourists who come to stay. Also, the tv and fridge wasn't working when we arrived. However, the staffs managed to get it fixed after complaining. Thanks for that. :)

The view is superb, facing the sea with mountain at the back. The sea is crystal clear. We can see fishes all around

The food is at very low standard and is pricy. There are no other restaurants nearby. You may want to bring some ready to eat food, snacks, and fruits.

As I told before the place is mind blowing!!

Actually was an amazing experience with my group! We were 29 including children! I would say the staff was really nice and kind, the manager always available and supportive. Just not all people of the staff was professional. But didn't "hurt" so much ;-). I would suggest at any meal to put a jar of water on the table without continuosly ask

Beautiful resort. I like they have a thirst for sustainability. drinking water from mountain water. Fishes swimming at the shore.

An area of improvement for better maintenance and provide training to their staff.

Beautiful spot, beach cabin right on the beach, kids loved just roaming around and doing their thing. we saw a baby shark right from the pier.

Clearly and understandably the place is trying to get the resort up and running again after the covid lock down. Good effort but execution lacks behind and you would expect value for the money the resort asks.. arguably the worst breakfast I have experienced in the region, at the spa appointment staff was 30min late when I had to rush putting the kids to bed, our room was left open after cleaning, restaurant staff didn’t seem highly motivated. just some examples.
