This hotel is luxury all they way. It's all in the details. Rooms are supplied with plenty of drinking water, high-end bedding and lots of charm. They will even warm your towels in the dryer before you shower if you want! Breakfast is included and is just delicious. There is always a special omelet as well a variety of eggs and breads (including warm tortillas). The location, right on the main square, is perfect for exploring and trying many of the great restaurants available.

My only complaint is they arranged a taxi for us to go to the bus station and the taxi driver charged us DOUBLE the tariffed rate. We were unsuccessful in talking him down on the rate because we didn’t see the rate sign until after he was gone. Wish the hotel had either warned us of this so we could set the price before getting in the cab or that the hotel would be sure on our behalf that we would not be overcharged. We normally are savvy enough to ask in advance but trusted the hotel would not order a cab that would over charge!

The hotel is central, but not right on the main square and so was quieter. The grounds are lovely, with many different types of plants and flowers and some of the most fragrant roses ever. Our room, Rosa, faced the terrace, and was on the second floor. No balcony, but plenty of beautiful outdoor common areas downstairs, and also an enclosed upper floor common area on the other side of the hotel. Our room had a microwave, which was great for us. My husband is up very early and makes his own coffee (with warm milk) and we were able to make sure he could do this. (The kitchen began serving coffee at 7…too long for us to wait), but that is not uncommon here in Mexico. There was a small common fridge downstairs which we were able to use, which was also useful for us. The staff was helpful, cheerful and accommodating. The hot breakfast was also a bonus. I would happily return again, and will heartily recommend it to others.

The parking is very awkward because the hotel doesn’t not have parking. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and we needed to drive all the way around the main plaza to access the parking lot which the hotel recommends, and which gives hotel guests a discounted rate if 150 pesos per 24 hours. The plaza was very busy and we were told the lot was full. We needed to return to the hotel to explain the situation, have them call the lot, and then hold a spot for us until we were able to return. The lot doesn’t open until 8 a.m. which means you cannot have access to your vehicle if you need to leave early. This was really our only complaint, and we now know for future reference that we need to try to work around this.

Casa Encantada is beautiful and well appointed. The owner Victoria is an artist and has impeccable taste in beautiful things. She knows all of the art ists in the area. And is font of information about the history, culture and artisans of the area. The front desk staff is bilingual and very friendly and accomodating. Smiles and friendliness all around. The general manager, Luis, will help you book tours of the surrounding area and help you get around the city to find what you need. The rooms are comfortable and well kept. I have stayed in three different rooms. The beds are very comfortable and the pillows nice and fluffy. The breakfast is delicious and a great place to meet fellow travelers. The location is outstanding. Only a block off of the main plaza. I highly recommend Casa Encantada! It does not disappoint.

Everything about Casa Encantada is breathtaking. Such a beautiful hotel, the staff is amazing!! i recommend staying here 100%!!! The complimentary breakfast they offer is so authentic and delicious!! wait did i also mention you are greeted with a free drink voucher, their margaritas were so so so good haha... CAN NOT wait to go back!!!

A delicious, full breakfast, with options, was included and the owner Victoria was there every morning to mingle with guests and offer suggestions. The decor is delightful and the rooms are tastefully decorated with local Mexican flair. Each room had a heater, microwave, and large jug of water. The towels were thick and new.

Everything about our stay was fantastic. Victoria, the owner, is very gracious and has created a warm and gorgeous environment. The staff is lovely. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. There is a daily breakfast provided to get you started on your day.

I would not change any aspect. I plan to stay again.

No Meat options at breakfast. Shower was quirky to use. Toilet didn't allow toilet paper to be thrown in, had to use soiled paper into separate trash bin, which was unpleasant.

Everything was wonderful. Prior to arriving we contacted Casa Encansada regarding tours, guides, drivers and they were responsive and helped us find a perfect match for our time in Patzcuaro. The hotel is beyond charming and our breakfast each morning was wonderful. Not only will we return, but we will pass the word on to family and friends. Thank you for making our trip so memorable.

The breakfast was awesome! Kept us going until time for comida! And they give you 9 choices! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this B&B to anyone and after staying here, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. It was only 1/2 block from the plaza but there were no sounds from the busy plaza! It was perfect!!
