We pretty much had the place to ourselves, it was so quiet. The rooms are big and well ventilated with a good working fan, and also very clean, so this was great. The pool was lovely and with a beautiful view. Simple place but had everything we needed.

Would be good if use of the kitchen was provided as there isn’t that many places to eat in the town, or at least free coffee and tea

The manager created such a friendly environment. She wenntot of her way to accommodate our family. She suggested things we needed. We will definitely stay there again

The wifi is not in the rooms, cats begging for food, and the cleaning staff did not come daily to see if we needed any services

It would be nice if Wi-Fi was available in the rooms. Also a big improvement would be a small fridge and a coffee pot in the room.

This place is a secret that I would like to keep :) It is not a five star resort, but it is a very unique place if you are looking for an authentic and simple place in Puerto Angel. The view, the pool,the friendly staff are reasons for me to come back to this hotel when i'll visit Puerto Angel again.

The grounds were gorgeous, with beautiful gardens, a nice pool, and ample hang out spots like hammocks and chairs. It was nice and quiet, too. The staff was very helpful and kind. There was free water at reception to fill up your jug. If you ask the maid, she'll wash your laundry for you for a small and reasonable amount. The location was close go Puerto Angel and the main road in the area to catch a collectivo to wherever.

It was a little hot at night, but the ceiling fan was a real help.

La Buena Vista Hotel is located on a hugh,beautiful property with winding pathways and many seperate cabanas as well as a few larger buildings below used for "hostel" type accomodations. it has a big, clean swimming pool overlooking the ocean. our private room was big with high ceilings and big comfortable bed. the ceiling fan managed to keep it comfortable all evening the hotel is minutes away from Zipolite (2km) easily reached by taxi or colectivo, same with Mazunte (little further... ~6km) but there is Panteon beach directly across the street from the hotel. Panteon beach is great for swimming and lots of good, inexpensive seafood restaurants with umbrellas and lounge chairs. it is not easy to swim at zipolite or Mazunte as the waves are too fierce but Panteon is Muy Tranquilo the staff are very helpful directing to the local attractions and the main receptionist and a few other staff (but not all) speak fluent english.

the wifi is only available at the reception desk... there is no wifi in the rooms. there was a problem with our booking at first... i had booked a room with two seperate beds but that wasnt available, but as it turned out we were UPGRADED to a far nicer room (i talked to the guests that got our original room and it was not nearly as nice) and the king sized bed was extra large so it was no problem. booking.com also told me that we would have free breakfast but that was not true, but i blame booking.com for this error. there are many steps to climb. my friend counted 150 to our room which was second to the top, but i am healthy so it didnt matter much. elderly/disabled guests will face big problems however.

Really charming hotel kept in slightly aging colonial style. Rooms are spread on different levels of the hill, with stone stairs that make walking around enjoyable. Surrounded by trees, so one can endlessly listen to birds singing and watch squirrels. The swimming pool with a beautiful view on the bay (many times I was alone to swim), great place to practice yoga! My room (number 6) was particularly great, with beautiful hand painted tiles in the bathroom, a balcony, many windows and a great view! delicious breakfast a la carte!

Beautiful, colorful old hotel. A bit run down in certain places, but very charming. I loved the vegetation, flowers everywhere, and the fact that name signs were posted by a lot of the trees and plants. The restaurant serves good breakfasts. I wished it was open for dinner too.

The town of Puerto Angel is quite loud with packs of dogs howling during the night, and roosters that have lost their sense of time. We used the fan as white noise, which helped us sleep.

I loved this old slightly crumbling colonial style hotel. My room was amazing, huge, overhead fans, large balcony, huge bathroom... Staff very nice. The rooms vary a lot, so ask to see a couple if you don't like the first one you see.

The breakfast service was cancelled for random reasons (someone sick, no gas canister delivery...)
