Riad Atika Mek is very well maintained and decorated. It feels like you're staying in a friend's home. The host, Jacques is very attentive to guests while at the same time remaining unobtrusive. He is an interesting man with many stories and is always ready to give advice when asked. His wife, Atika is also very friendly. The location is fairly straightforward and not too far from the Bab Hissi (across from the museum). The roof is extensive and has many relaxing spots to sit and enjoy the view of the medina and surrounding hills.

If you want to stay in a beautiful riad with warm and friendly hosts this is the perfect place. Staying in the riad is like staying in a palace. Everywhere is decorated with traditional crafts. The room is comfortable and the shower works great. The view from the terrace is exceptional. You can see the entire city and towns on the hillside. We enjoyed visiting with the hosts while eating a delicious breakfast. It was very hard to leave after an 8 night stay. I would love to return.

The property is located in the medina, so it’s very close to the main attractions. However, since it’s in one of the narrow alleys, it’s very silent at night for a good rest. The area is safe with families and kids playing around also at night. Our room was spacious and clean, and the riad itself is very fascinating. The owners are absolutely lovely and give you many information about Meknes and Morocco (from places to visit, to Morocco’s history, to where to eat and so on). It’s been an amazing stay for us!

The most wonderful rooftop is here. We saw here a very impressive sunset while the storks decided to make their last flight before the night. Hundreds of them came by. This Riad is very original with the owners living next door. In the middle of the Medina. You can park the car outside the Medina at a parking place. And then walk 10 minutes to the Riad.

We had one room with a nasty smell. Which was difficult to solve although it was tried to make it better but without success and that makes it rather uncomfortable unfortunately. Meknes itself was under renovation so a lot was closed. They day that after a couple of months everything will be ready.

The host is the friendliest person I've met in Morocco. It was a pleasure staying at this place thanks to his kindness. The riad looks incredible from the inside and the room has got a heater - you'll know how precious such small thing can be after a long drive on a cold early-spring night. Loved the place, would stay there again without hesitation.

Riad Atika was very clean. The was fantastic and went out of her way to accommodate me. She speaks many languages including English. Most smaller places do not have someone that speaks good English. Hers was perfect. The rooftop lounge area is the highest in the area. The rooftop had several areas to relax.

A beautiful place managed by even more beautiful people. Mr Jacque and his wife will make you feel at home, not just by their friendly and mild nature, but also by sharing their knowledge about the city of Meknes and of the wide world which they have traveled extensively. What a find. This Riad is absolutely gorgeous. A labyrinth of beautiful little spaces. The terrace is so nice and gives great 360° views. Jacques and Atika are lovely people and very welcoming. Perfect location in the Medina of Meknes which is a city well worth visiting. Much less touristy than others, but plenty of charm. Stay here. You will not regret it.

Atika and her husband are very nice people. They truly welcome you to their home. Atika brought us to a hammam a and a shop when we asked for where to go, and even lent us her gloves and soap! So nice. And the ríad is sublime, a dream house!

It was all in all an excellent stay. If we had to say something that could improve, it would be the breakfast, because it was very basic (example, no fresh juice, and as fruits only mandarines when so many fruits are available in the market and are very cheap. Compared to the breakfasts in other riads it was disappointing for me). We had hot water only the first night we arrived. Also, no tips for visiting the city or maps are information is provided at your arrival/in your rooms, as well as no mint tea as attention.
