Breakfast was great- good variety and tasty. Great sitting out on the deck surrounded by plants and local art.

Nothing I didn’t like! For me, this place is perfect. Relaxed, friendly, so green and leafy, attracts lots of interesting birds, fascinating insects and other wildlife. Enjoyed the dogs and cats. Easy to self cater and tasty, well cooked food if you eat in. Accommodation simple, adequate and comfortable, each with an attractive outdoor area. Funky honesty bar, slash pool and braai and fire area. Easy walking distance to the beaches and restaurants. Covered library and games area. Good WiFi and working space. Exceptional staff; so friendly and approachable.

Owners, Beverly and Mandy went out of their way. Service exceptional. Felt like a second home, very welcoming. All the staff were friendly and went out of their way to provide the best service ever. Tony, for your amazing meals. Elzia for your fast and efficient service. Chico for your service, dropping and picking up, always with a smile. We definitely have never had service like this on any other holiday and will be coming back, without a doubt. Thank you, Gala-gala!

Very clean and neat resort, even the pathways between the chalets were cleaned daily, the owner and the staff are very professional, efficient and accommodating. The units are well equipped and everything worked well. The rescue animals are well behaved and socialised, its a pleasure to have them around. Its also near enough to town so you can walk there but not in town which we like.

Just that we can’t bring our own dog across the border, she would have loved this place.

Great breakfast, great common facilities and services (pool, self service bar, kitchen...) and great staff. They helped us book our daytrips and rides, and were helpful in all possible ways. Thanks a lot!

There would have been plenty of places closer to the beach, but I'm sure none of them had the same feel and atmosphere. There were some jungle noises especially during the night and morning, but earplugs help a lot of they bother.

I really liked how safe I felt as a solo traveller. The communal kitchen was clean and tidy and had everything I needed and was great having a section of the fridge for my stuff. There are lots of rescue animals around and they’re adorable. My room was spacious and was serviced every day. It was a very chilled and relaxing environment

Breakfast was well precented and had option of eggs or yoghurt with fresh fruits. The accommodation was comfortable and beds made up everyday. Tea and cofee facilities in the reed bungalow is a plus. Loved the whole setup of the resort. Beautifully layed out with the plants and pathways. Felt like we were on an island somewhere . So tranquil and peaceful. The staff were amazing and went the extra mile. Cannot fault anything. Enjoyed having the Saphire restaurant and beach close by

The bungalows are not soundproof. But expected from a reed structure. Also need to take extra mosquito repellent as there are alot of mosquitos.

Beautifully laid out with bamboo huts in amongst the trees. Lovely communal area with a fire every evening. Very friendly staff who do everything they can to make your stay fantastic.

Nothing really - had a great rustic charm. Only warning is that the closest beach is not for swimming but great for walks.

I loved the location, tranquility, eco-friendly , helpful staff and fantastic owners. The communal space is lovely and relaxing. The wifi was good aswell, for online meetings.

Friendly and attentive staff - thanks to Bev and her marvelous team! Our cabana had a hammock under the trees which we thoroughly enjoyed as well as our own bbq facility. Plenty of cupboard space in the room and space to store the luggage under the bed. Mosquito net over/around the bed. Great breakfast with healthier options as well. I appreciated the Eco friendly aspect of the resort, the focus on saving water and reducing the use of plastic bottles. We saw loads of different and interesting geckos and birds. Fantastic restaurant about 400m walking distance from the resort- Sapphire Sands - a must when you visit the area.

No complaints from our side, but just for information sake: Although a 4x4 vehicle is not required, there are a few sandy spots going from the resort to the market/beach which might be tricky to get through.

We loved the authentic Echo-friendly way in which the lodge has been created and built. Very neat and well planned lay-out. A true Mozambiquan experience with the quiet and solitude one gets when at Gala-Gala. The prawns at Saffire Sands were out of this world, and i've tasted better-seriously. Well done Daisy. Our hostess, Elisa was amazing and most helpful-(couldn't do enough), and the same goes for AdrieK-(A3K). Eli is an asset to the Lodge and well-desreving of all accolades.
