I loved the view of Shwedagon from my room. The reception staff especially July and Ko Toe made sure my check out was quick and easy. The bell boy Zin Min went above and beyond to locate my sunglasses.Yee yee from housekeeping was also very polite and helpful. I had an issue with hot water running low later in the day, but it was resolved very promptly. The customer service at this hotel is wonderful. Its rare to find this level of care and support.

I would have liked a clock in the room. Also a light switch closer to the bed. But this was all trivial.

Simply THE BEST Breakfast I've ever had in any hotel !!! I have experienced more than 200 hotels/accommodations around the world. Super experience !!! Highly recommended !!!

A little misunderstanding related to payment. There should be better reservation options in Booking related to breakfast. More clear options during online reservation - confusion between " breakfast included / breakfast available " ????!!!

What an amazing great hotel! Brand new hotel, but already excellent trained staff. This is quite unbelievable how good the guest experience is - thank you Carlos and the rest of the staff. Reception staff, (breakfast) restaurant people very friendly, service oriented and talkative / interested. Breakfast top three of my hotel visits ever (and I have visited quite some high quality places ;)). Nice spacious rooms, very clean, good bathroom and superb views on Lake Victoria.

Breakfast was just astonishing. So many choices, selection of many kind of food, vegetables, fruits, bread, chinese, asian food. Just great !! Very good café. Nice and very polite staff - waitresses .

Leak troubles in bathroom. Not well sealed doors for shower. Full bathroom of water after every shower I take. Often weak connection of Internet - Wifi. Should be better for common use.

Modern full service 5 star hotel. Elegant common areas, spacious room and hallways. Well maintained and staffed with thoughtful polite and efficient employees. Great location loction near downtown and the airport. Myanmar Plaza attached which is a clean mall offering many food and shopping options. Really good diverse breakfast buffet offering world class service. Our room had a fantastic view of the Shwedagon Pagoda.

Superb location with nice shopping mall adjacent to the hotel made it so convenient and comfortable to drop by for informal meetings and meals. Dining at the Market was also enchanting with its delicacies and their staff were well attentive and professional in handling service. I enjoyed the privacy at high class. Room amenities were sufficient. Lighting and electrical sockets were sufficient. Overall 10/10.

Great service from doorstep with porters on hand to assist with luggage, fuss-free quick and efficient check in and check out, warm greetings from everyone, immaculate housekeeping, generous and clean room, awesome well maintained and well equipped gym and just a sheltered walk to Myanmar Plaza for groceries, good and such. Room service was also obliging when I requested some food at 11pm, past their serving hour for certain dishes that require more preparation. I will be back again ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️ 💕 💘 ❤️

Fantastic breakfast buffet, very helpful staff, great gym with lots of equipment and a nice pool. The rooms are big, modern design, and there's both a desk and a separate couch. The bathrooms are spacious and moden. Good value for money.

The fridges are very small and do not cool down sufficiently to store e.g. food.

Another great stay at the Melia and happy to see the buffet breakfast back at The Market, which makes any stay at The Melia worthwhile. Gym is well kept and I got a non smoking room on a non smoking floor as requested. Room is comfy and the shower issue was resolved quickly after informing front desk 👍 Check in and out is smooth as always with well trained staff!

Hotel is well maintained still. The corridors can do with the air conditioning on, as well as the lifts, in this almost 40 degrees Celsius heat.
