The view was out of this world. Watched the sunrise from the Himalayas right from my bed. The staff are friendly and cooperative and the location is perfect for an unbroken view of the mountains and the valleys below. The meals were good, could be better. But the room was great! A little small but I didn't mind it, it was very cozy in the somewhat cool weather. The bathroom was perfect and the amenities provided were very good quality. The hotel is made in multiple steps at the edge of the hill, it's beautiful to look at, speacially with all the lights at nighttime.

I didn't like that my balcony was on top of the restaurant so there was little privacy.

This is the perfect getaway hotel vacation as a U.S.A. tourist. Other than the beds being a little hard, this was perfect for me. The staff was wonderful and accommodating, had a very nice, and much needed hot stone massage at the spa here, I was experiencing a lot of tightness in a lot of areas, and the massage therapist did a wonderful job in loosening out most of my tension in my back, legs and chest. Also, the breakfast buffet was exactly what I had hoped for, I made sure I got my fruit and vegetables and lots of warm water in my digestive system, and to help build blood circulation in my system. My body was lacking all the proper nutrients, and the buffet satisfied my bodies needs. Overall score for me as an American tourist is a 9.7 out of 10, other than the bed being a little hard and the massage table being wooden which our bodies usually are not designed for, this was perfect, and hope to come back in the future

Beautiful location with the views as advertised, but.....smoke haze mostly blocked the it and we only caught glimpses of the Himalayas. But wow. What a view when they did appear. Hotel was comfortable. Food okay. Staff polite and attentive.

Smoke haze.....not exactly the hotels fault that people in South Asia burn the forests etc. this time of year but the whole point of Nargakot is the view. Cleaning staff opened our door without knocking or announcing themselves. As summer had arrived early we were waiting out the heat of an afternoon which seemed to catch them out!

The location couldn’t be any better. Lovely staff. The food was better than I had expected. The size of the room was perfect. I also had a massage and the actual treatment was excellent. The spa itself could do with a bit of a make over.

Really the only thing I did not like was the live music on the Saturday afternoon and early evening. I know this is a very personal thing as many people like that kind of entertainment. For me however the purpose to go to Nagarkot was to find peace and quiet and enjoy the sounds of nature. Please note that there is live music only on Saturdays so if you’re like me and want to avoid it, just make sure you avoid staying on a Saturday, or go for a hike :).

A Wonderful Stay at Hotel Country Villa! I had an amazing experience staying at Hotel Country Villa in Nagarkot. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and has a charming, welcoming atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate all of my travel needs, making my trip smooth and stress-free. From the comfortable rooms to the excellent service, everything was top-notch. I would absolutely recommend Hotel Country Villa to anyone visiting Nagarkot — I’m grateful for such a great stay and would love to return in the future!

Location is excellent as you can view sunrise right from balcony. All the rooms are facing the same direction. The open restaurant holds live performances on weekends and provides excellent quality food ranging from local Nepali cuisines to Indian and western options as well. They also have draught beer available.

Few things here and there which can be improved such as - charging points could be more reachable from bed sides. I was facing issue with one of the charging points. The door of the bathroom of my room did not completely shut so needs a fix. Since the property is located remote so it would be great if guest can have access to some or few activities that can be offered as a part of the stay at the resort. These activities could be nature walk , culinary arts etc.

Nagarkot is very nearby hill station to Kathmandu. One can see many peaks of Himalayan / Everest mountain ranges if sky is clear of clouds - very mesmerizing experience. Hotel country villa has very wide spreaded area in hills. One has to climb around 100 steps from bottom to top of the property as they don't have lifts. Great views, well maintained garden & swimming pool with delicious food / breakfast at restaurant has made our stay great at the hotel. Staffs at reception were also very nice, particularly Mr.Prajan. Thank you.

Don't having lift facility makes stay little hard for elderly person

The hotel is situated on a mountain side. It's a big property with many buildings or cottages on the side of the mountain. Unfortunately during out stay it was foggy and rain. Hence we could not see the sunrise (which is what we came to see) But this gave us different vibe as if we stayed in a mystical land always surrounded by clouds. The room was clean, with a nice big bed and the bathroom fully stocked with toiletries. The restaurant had great options of continental and Indian food. And the staff very cordial. We enjoyed a bon fire in the evening amidst the floating clouds and it's eteched in my memory forever. A truly fantastic stay.

I have No complaints at all to Country Villa. It was such a beautiful property perfectly embedded on the top of the hill. It has this calm, peaceful energy to it, and a lot of times, I almost forgot I was in a resort, it felt more like I was in a tranquil temple. Soooo peaceful and chill. The open large view is fantastic and u get to see sunrise and snow mountains on the balcony in your room and pretty much everywhere in the hotel. The decorations, setup, layouts, furnitures are just perfect. And it is Clean! Nice hot shower! I really have no any bad feelings at all there. Staff was super nice and really helpful to help me renew one more night, as they were full booked. But I was sooo glad, the staff managed to made two rooms available for me. I would definitely come back to this hotel and enjoy the nature and energy here!

Nothing at all!

This hotel is a great choice to escape busy and dusty Kathmandu. The view depends on the weather and it is not guarantee you will see the mountains. Besides that, every sunrise is worth to wake up, just because the nature is very alive and gives beautiful feeling. We spend 3 nights after 2 week travel and it was a good choice. Massages, heated pool, restaurant and walks in the surroundings was what we need. As big plus - was modern heater in the room, and it-is very pleasant, when nights get chilly. Restaurant terace is the place where you want to stay morning or night. At nights there is a nice fire table, where you can have dinner. It looks like the hotel is well kept in every corner.

- our bathroom was clean and newly renovated, but to take a shower was a challenge to regulate temperature of water, so most often we had boiling water.. - carpet in the room looked very authentic, but it was dirty - the saddest thing - every day we saw ladies from village, who were carrying heavy stones up and down the hill for new construction. Well, maybe it is a traditional difference, but they didn't look as atlet, they looked more poor and getting such heavy job.. suffering from heat and heavy loads.
