Breakfast and facilities are very clean and well kept, staff are extremely helpful and supportive. Would recommend if you wish to stay for a brief or week long stay

The 'double' beds aren't really double beds , just 2 single beds, which can result in oneself sliding into the gap between when sleeping. Not sure if there's rooms with proper double beds available. Mattresses are a bit soft which can leave one a bit unsupported.

The locatin adjacent to a park with deer and black swans and almost in the town centre offering numerous restaurants within a short walk I booked a balcony room which was well worth it and made for plenty of space in the accomidation.

On arival if in car be aware of using parking garage number 4, which is at the front entrance beneath the ground tricky to find but free for hotel guests. The staff were very helpful as it is easily missed when you first arrive.

The room was large with a small balcony. Bathroom was fine. Location is great - it is next to the pedestrian zone of the town and 5 mins from the park which has deer, and ducks and herons on the water as well as the lovely huis Almelo built in 17th century. One can eat either in their restaurant or the same menu is served in the brasserie which is less formal.

The check-in always seems to be a little problematic at this hotel. And a small thing - but we would expect tissues in the bathroom

Though I only stayed one night it was very nice. It was right in the center, easy to find, and a short walk to the center. The amenities were great. Very spacious rooms with everything you need. Had a room with a balcony which was great for views and to sit outside when the weather was good. I would recommend to everyone and would definitely stay again if in the area.

Room was really clean,breakfast amazing, nice pool,sauna and steam room, was really cleans and only few people there,which was great. Also good location.

Didn’t like two single beds together,they were always sliding apart which made a lot of discomfort. We also heard that guests above us also were moving beds together every day.definitely need some kind of “stopper” for stopping beds from sliding. Also we mentioned in booking that we are getting married while staying in hotel but staff didn’t react at all. Hotel staff need to learn about hospitality more. Only lady on the breakfast (at the desk) was very friendly every day.

Smooth welcome at reception, pleasant staff, willing to help. Good location in centre Almelo, close to shops and cafés. Room and bed were comfortable and well appointed, with comfy chairs and excellent mattress. Free, bespoke parking is very helpful. Free, open wifi. Perfectly appointed modern bathroom with excellent shower.

The lighting in the room was dim. Music from the foyer was audible in the room until about midnight which interfered with getting to sleep. Next morning discovered that I could have pulled the bathroom door across which might have dampened the sound. The coffee machine comes with complimentary, unmarked pods. I wanted decaf and asked for this at reception. Staff kindly offered me some. A kettle would have been great to made a herbal tea before bedtime.

Staff friendly and welcoming, room great, clean, confortable, balcony looking over grass and water (and adjoining balconies). Swimming pool. Breakfast as an extra was well worth it, excellent selection, & good food. QUIET :) Brilliant after a noisy hostel the previous two nights. Small town, hotel in a quiet area, with many nearby restaurants for all tastes. Only came here because of zero notice German rail strike, and had to leave Germany fast, and this is almost the first town over the Dutch border, but is a really nice place to stop for chillout time.

Quite a walk from the station with a heavy pack and no bus service, at least on a Sunday (yes, could have got a taxi). 'Fitness suite' was plain hot, actual physical exertion just wasn't ever going to happen :/

The lobby and restaurant are surprisingly grandesk for a VanderValk hotel. nice bar. it’s all old style classics as you would expect here. The staff was friendly and helpful and I was able to check in early. breakfast takeaway on early departure. great location opposite the park.

the room has to a certain extend already aged and the beds are just cheap, like much of the interior of the room. nevertheless probably one of the best VanderValks there is. I just don’t go along with this franchise but this one is admittedly truly bearable

Super friendly staff at the reception. They made our stay perfect. Very clean and cosy hotel with beautiful rooms and atmosphere. Fast check in, was also lucky to get a lake check out. Safe private parking on site. Dog friendly. Will definitely come again soon.

Greatly renovated, clean, and spacious rooms. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was good. The bar was nice, too, and the Christmas decorations were lovely to see. Centrally located and close to many shops.

The swimming pool and sauna were hard to find.
