We had a corporate stay at this hotel, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The location is beautiful and easy to find, with free parking on the premises. They offered a welcome drink and carried our luggage to our room. The facilities are incredible; the gym is small but decent, and the sauna is fantastic (though you need to book it in advance). The breakfast is à la carte, a bit expensive but really delicious with a very nice selection. The room was very clean with a comfortable king size bed. The staff is really friendly and super accommodating. Highly recommend.

Everything was perfect

The location is lovely. Really enjoyed the short ferry across the river to and from the city. The hotel is very nice, and staff are friendly and helpful, the room was large and carpeted. The bed was wonderful with quality bedding, including the best pillows I have come across in a hotel. Plenty of hot water, good shower. Breakfast was served and the atmosphere was relaxed.

The breakfast didn't really suit me. As a solo traveler I did like the atmosphere but it took a little too long to be served, probably due to being freshly prepared. The menu choice was difficult for me, being too fancy , but this is a personal preference. Most people seemed to be enjoying breakfast. I do not like the bathroom shampoos, shower gel, body lotion etc in small plastic tubes. It is incredibly wasteful and bad for the environment. Much better to have dispensers.

We loved the place, the bedroom, the food (breakfast as well as the lunch). there is a beautiful view and easy access by bike of boat to the city center. Staff was very polite and helpful.

our room was located in front of the elevator & the storage room for the cleaning ladies, which created a bit of noise especially in the morning hours.

The hotel is really first class. The room was located in the new wing on the 2nd floor. Our stay was very pleasant and comfortable. The complete breakfast is served on a large plate per person. The location is fabulous with a view over the River IJssel. The little ferry brings you to the other banks where you can enter the historical town of Deventer. The so called 'living' is the nicest place in the hotel.

Desk lamp obstructs view of tv from bed in room 202. Can't use safe without laying on floor to read instructions. Suggest posting instructions at eye level. Breakfast service was disjointed, though food was excellent.

Very friendly, welcoming staff at the reception. The check-in couldn't have been easier and faster, in spite of the fact that by accident our booking was for one person instead of two. We were also offered a complementary aperitif at the bar which was a very nice gesture. The room was spacious, comfortable; at night it was very quiet. The breakfast was excellent.

The customer service of all the staff was the best I have experience in The Nethlands. Very helpful and friendly it was an absolute please to stay at Pillows.

Lovely room and bathroom. Well located for town centre. Free parking for our car. Delicious food. Friendly and helpful staff.

For us, we would prefer a buffet breakfast, although everything we wanted was available upon demand. Also perhaps waiters should make it clear that the glass of champagne offered when arriving in the restaurant for the evening meal is not in fact complimentary and will cost €14 each!!

The staff were very kind and accommodating. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. Conveniently located by ferry and it was nice that they offered free ferry tickets.

The WiFi was not strong at all and made it difficult to take work calls or zooms. The counter top in the bathroom came out too far over the sinks so it was hard to shave or wash your face. The TVs should be mounted on the wall. They take up too much space on the floor in the room.

The welcoming staff, the perfect service, the "tailored" breakfast, and the aesthetic detail in the interior decoration.

The only facility missing is a bike shed, but they were working on it.
