Kind staff. Was happy to have an Airco in the room as I was there in summer having a roof windowed room. Which was the only outside window I had. Plus a window that let to an inside open area. Which was fine. It seemed to be one of the few rooms to have that. I booked a single room but got a double room. Not sure why. The sockets were a bit oddly placed at the beds and there were no night lights at the bed. But I was there just to sleep and shower as I attended a festival in the area, so it was good. Clean well maintained rooms. Bathroom is compact but modern and clean. Loved the rain shower even if it flooded the bathroom a bit. But had an extra towel for the floor so was fine. Enjoyed the breakfast. You fill in a form with a few options, time you want to eat and tell them your room number when you arrive in the breakfast room. Parking lot of the hotel has one or two charging stations for electric cars. In general to few parking spots for all guests. But at the back parking is free and I was able to find a spot every night. Easy acces at night with your key card at the back entrance.

Perfect location, good price, tasteful decor, lovely breakfast, free parking, free beers for being careful with our towels and a good restaurant on-site were all SUPER advantages. Beds were really firm and there was plenty of hot water in a very nice modern bath. Tea kettle for a cup of coffee or tea after a long day of touring was also appreciated. Hotel is right in the center of town directly on the shopping street, so just a few steps to make a quick stop at the drugstore or market, plus a big variety of nice restaurants within a five-minute walk. Keukenhof was a five-minute drive south with the beach another 15 and Harlem was about 20 minutes north with the Cobra Museum in Amstelveen about 20 minutes east. So convenient!!!!

Service at breakfast could have been better. The food was great and plentiful, but the morning team was not too attentive to get another cup of coffee or tea. Also, you must fill out a form every evening to get breakfast the next morning and that was not explained when we checked in.

It was nourishing, refined, and aristocratic. The dining room radiates a sentimental, cozy charm. The unique system with personalized breakfast forms at check-in and the friendly service in the morning is, in my opinion, far superior to a buffet. It makes you feel as if you are dining in a fine restaurant rather than just another guest in a large crowd. • Interior: A wonderful blend of history and modern elements, creating a truly special and memorable atmosphere. • Parking: There is parking available on-site, and if full, convenient alternatives are located nearby on adjacent streets. In summary, Villa Flora offers not just accommodation but a refined experience filled with charm, history, and heartfelt hospitality. I sincerely believe this hotel deserves recognition beyond three stars – it truly has the qualities of a distinguished four-star establishment.

Location : Close to Hillegom station (15-20 min walking, 5-7 min by bike) you can rent bikes at Hillegom station very easily to cycle around the region. Keukenhof is accessible by bus, or you can go by bike (what I did, it takes 15 minutes). The hotel is close to supermarkets. The town is quiet and lovely ! There are not many cars so I was comfortable riding a bicycle there :) - The room was spacious and comfortable - There is a restaurant at the hotel, it's convenient if you don't want to go too far to eat dinner. I liked their cake and the staff was friendly. - Overall very satisfied. It was within my expectations. I would recommend this hotel if you want to explore the region!

The hotel staff were very friendly. 😊 Facilities were perfect for a 3 night stay for 3 people. Restaurant had a nice & simple breakfast perfect to start a sightseeing day. Dinner was amazing, can't recommend enough the Flora's steak. We had it 2 nights in a row 🫣 Hotel is easy commute to Amsterdam & Keukenhof gardens (our destination). The village is cosy and sweet. We had a VERY pleasant stay! Thank you to all involved.

Nothing to complain. All was great.

We liked probably everything

Our family room is designed for people with kids. However, it is located on the rooftop and the elevator goes only up to the floor below. From there Zhou have to climb two more sets of stairs- one of which is a steep wooden ladder-like staircase… it feels unsafe when carrying kids. Everything else is great.

Staff were lovely, very kind and helpful. The location was perfect, right in the centre and we were able to watch the flower parade from our balcony! The children had a bunk bed in a room attached to my own room but it gave us a little bit of space which was perfect in the evenings.

We didn't get breakfast as it was quite expensive

The breakfast is lovely - not a buffet, you select the night before what you would like. It was all so delicious, I would really recommend it. I really liked the decor in the restaurant, we didn’t have dinner there (as there are several nice restaurants in walking distance) but it was busy so must be good. Friendly, helpful staff. Everywhere was very fresh and clean.

You can walk from the train station, but there is no local bike hire and the taxis all take over half an hour to turn up to get anywhere else. So, get your bikes delivered or order your taxi in advance!

we liked everything about the property, our room (208) was lovely and we enjoyed having the balcony as our bit of outdoor space. We had a very nice meal in the hotel restaurant which seemed to be busy every night if our four night stay.

very small quibbles, only four coat hangers between two people..I guess we could have asked for more. No conveniently positioned sockets and no USB ports, and despite leaving the Do Not Disturb hanger on our door we came back to find that someone had been in our room. As I said, minor irritants which wouldn’t stop us staying at the Villa Flora again.

My sister and I arrived at the airport and then to Villa Flora early in the morning and were very grateful that the staff were able to get us into our room a couple hours later. In the meantime, they stored our luggage while we explored the town a bit. Everyone was helpful and friendly!
