We have stayed here before and thought we knew what to expect. This is a modern hotel in the lovely town of Hoek and the hotel is convenient for the ferry. The breakfast is excellent. The rooms are modern and spotlessly clean. The hotel was happy to look after our suitcase while we visited the beach.

I can't help wondering if the hotel has new owners from our previous visit because the welcome was brusque - verging on the unfriendly plus the hotel restaurant is closed on Mondays & Tuesdays. The room we were allocated was accessed from the street, up extremely steep & narrow stairs - which my disabled wife had a great deal of trouble with (but didn't want to cause a fuss over). It's disappointing that breakfast is only available until 9.15am - this prevents a relaxing start to the day.

A renovated hotel full of character ( including one or two quirky features), beautifully situated and offering a very good breakfast.The pre-arrival information led me to expect an unstaffed check-in (it being Tuesday) but happily there was a helpful human being there to greet me.

The pre-payment arrangements were unique in my Booking.com experience and a little bit over-complicated. That's the only negative aspect I can think of, maybe not a big deal if (unlike me) you enjoy technology for its own sake.

Really good location for getting around. Lovely spacious room and good options for breakfast. There were 2 supermarkets close by and the the train station was literally across the road which made it easy getting into Rotterdam. There was free parking close by as well. The beach was a few minutes drive from the hotel, with several beach bars and restaurants. The bar next to the hotel opens late so we could have a drink before returning to the hotel on Saturday night.

Lovely small hotel. Location right in town. Great bike storage with plug for EVbikes. Lovely quiet garden courtyard. Lovely breakfast. Just be aware that room 1, a king superior room, is lofted and many stairs up to the bed. We loved it but not good for a person with mobility problems. Has a restaurant attached but closed the day we were there.

Nothing all was wonderful

Really close to the ferry landing. A good start to our trip. Easy transport option onwards The hotel and our room were clean and had everything we needed The staff were pleasant and friendly Breakfast in the garden was so lovely. More than enough to eat

There wasn't much around and about, so ate in the restaurant attached to the hotel. Food was good but far too expensive

The hotel room was very nice, we arrived ear;y and the lady let us into our room. The room was lovely a nice spacious bathroom and large bed. I particullary liked the bathroo. The breakfast was well laid out with a self style contiental buffet I would definetly stay there again.

There was nothing not to like. The location was very good. The room could of been warmer and the electric heater on the wall was difficult to work out and threw out little heat. The walls are quite thin so we could hear the people next door to us who were quite noisey,

This is a historic hotel on the main square in the village of Hoek van Holland. The staff were without fail friendly & helpful. We had the best night's sleep here of our entire 2 week trip! The room was wonderful - with a mezzanine for the comfortable bed. An amazing shower! The breakfast was very good, and the evening meal in the restaurant was splendid. This hotel is very well placed for the ferry to Harwich, the Metro to both Rotterdam, Scheidam - and now - to the beach.

We didn't realise that the room had stairs to the mezzanine bed - this might have been a problem for someone with greater mobility difficulties (I believe that the staff would have changed us to another room if we had insisted - but the room design should be clearer at booking).

It’s in such a wonderful location & facilities are amazing

Not being made aware that one of our rooms was not in hotel itself with lift access.. the room was lovely, but it was lucky that out of our 4 rooms 1 of them could access without the lift otherwise we wouldn’t struggled.

We travel every year for the past 4 years to this hotel and will definitely come back. Very friendly and helpful staff, amazing restaurant. The rooms are stylish and spacious, the location is great!

The breakfast is really modest, we are used to a completely different morning routine. The breakfast is supposed to end at 10:15 but at 9:15 there were not much left, so it was a bit disappointing. The beds are too soft for us.

Excellent location in the center of Hook of Holland, close to shopping, restaurants, train station, and port. Free public parking within a few blocks. Lovely hotel, and very nice room. Coffee/tea facilities in room, along with a refrigerator. Very good breakfast. Be careful on the staircase as it is steep, but there is a lift available.
